On the fourth day of Christmas

4 males a-spraying

I saw beneath my tree
5 shredded gifts
4 males a-spraying

and that would be why we didn't put up any winter decorations this year

LOL. That pretty much describes it! Actually, so far we've only had a few broken ornaments this year, and the artificial tree has lost some needles.

Every year I go through agonies about what I can dare to put up in the way of decorations -- how much can I get away with, without tempting curious kitties -- and let me tell you, if Fawn ever decided to explore the tree, it would be game over. But, so far, I have NEVER had any tree destruction from my cats -- not once -- I can't believe it, but there it is. The huge prayer plant that normally occupies the space in the front window that the tree gets -- it moves to the top of one of the stereo speakers, and you'd think it would be secure there, but it's already been on the floor once this season. Go figure!
