Please take heed to this safety tip for small kittens and puppies. My 10 week old kitten got her head stuck between two posts on the back of my dining room chair. I was home at the time and heard her thrashing around. I was just feet away fortunately and got her out right away. The chair is going to the basement! Besides shaken nerves, hers and mine, she seems ok. Be aware of this risk. Autumn is very active and gets into everything. Baby proof! Go through your home and don't take even small stuff for granted. Her throat got caught in the narrow end of the posts.

OMG, that must have been terrifying for Autumn, AND you when you saw her.

Yes, kittens can get into such trouble.  Anyone with a kitten definitely has to kitten proof the home, to the 100th degree

Cords, strings and toxins yes. But who knew a dining chair could hurt them. The posts on the back are wide at the top and narrow at the bottom. The bottom is where her neck got stuck. Toward the bottom I should say. Be aware. If first instinct says potential hazard take care of it. I never thought of this as one. I will be doing a thorough inspection of my home keeping even the slightest hazard in mind.
