You're welcome!

One last tip is to mix his formula with the pedialyte water instead of regular water for a few feedings.

Let us know how he's doing tomorrow! :)

Awesome! Let's hope he's getting better. Is he back with his litter mates now? How was his poop?

OKAY! we took him to the vet this morning, they did an exam and said he was very thin, and likely suffering from malabsorpative syndrome :( they were worried about septicemia and said there is a chance he might not make it. but they gave us some amoxi-drops and some pro pectalin for his diarrhea, as well as injecting some water under his skin.

i gave him his meds and fed him a little more, he sucked up 5mL before getting resistant again so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. he's in a covered kitten carrier with his siblings and a heating pad asleep rn.

Awesome! So glad you took him in. Let's hope he continues to improve and go ahead and feed him as often as you can. The 5 mL is great. Keep it going. Try mixing it with the pedialyte. That will help with dehydration

Did you get a weight on him?

pffft no, they didn't get it down on his paperwork, but he's labeled as being 2/9, with 5 being ideal.

Well, you've got some work to do with him to get him there! Let's hope for the best. Let us know how he is doing throughout the day with his feedings, poops, and behaviour! :)

okay, the past day has been pretty hectic.. but i'm happy to report that he seems to be doing well! :) he doesn't resist as much anymore and gets 10mL down every feeding, albeit slowly. he's been sucking a lil too. and he was holding his head up this morning trying to get out of the crate with his sisters. and his stool is looking SO much better. no blood, and no diarrhea.

here's the lil guy you've all been helping so much, we're calling him Hershey. :)

oh man guys. i'm super happy with what happened this evening!!  i was feeding hershey (the sick boy) and i put him down for a minute, and my mama cat was nursing her kitten in the middle of the floor, and he waddled right over to her and started nursing!! and she didn't bother him at all! he nursed for about two minutes, and then i picked him up to see if he wanted any more milk, and he sucked down 10mL on his own. he's still small but i think he's going to make it.

the girls are pretty fat, they're downing about 30-35mL per feeding. i have a question. they're starting to get some real chompers, and have been furiously biting me every feeding (and it actually sorta hurts), should i try to introduce dry food to them sometime soon? i usually grind it up in a blender into a fine dust.

Yes, you should begin to introduce wet food into their feedings now. But they will continue to nurse. Is the little fellow stil nursing from the mom? He may not be ready for mush quite yet. You'll you will have to play it by ear.
