That is so funny and so true. A cat on your lap will also obligate other humans to willingly serve you as in "can you bring the tea to me, I can't get up, I've a cat on my lap.

I could clean my house this weekend, but my cats are terrified of the Hoover, and they may walk in the floor cleaner! So it will obviously have to wait for a more suitable time :lol3:

I SHOULD be vacuuming and I need to shampoo the carpets but all 3 cats are napping and it wouldn't be nice to wake them with such an unpleasant noise.

Saurus (Sophie) is the only animal in my house that is not afraid of the vacuum and the carpet machine. She's also the smallest by quite a bit.

Cat-in-lap syndrome is an excuse for everything round here :lol3: Up to and including "I'm sorry I haven't cooked dinner yet - Asha was having a cuddle" ;)

Wow I just realized that I haven't vacuumed since The Queen of Sheba landed in my home and had her kittens. It's o.k though, I think she has made me her handmaiden and i'm pretty sure handmaidens don't have to vacuum.
