Oh, wow, you have an Airedale! I grew up with them, and they're the greatest dogs. They were far more popular when I was a kid than they are now, and even then people would sometimes remark about the "weird-looking poodles" when they weren't trimmed. :lol3: There's a breeder one town over from us now, and I'm so tempted. My husband rolls his eyes. I had two when we got married. One accepted him completely, but the other used to pretend he didn't hear him. :lol3:

How are your grooming bills??!!! I used to be a dog groomer and had a Standard Poodle. I could have never afforded grooming for that dog if I couldn't do it myself. :lol3: It was an older dog that was given to my family by a elderly neighbor when he had to move away to a retirement village. I only had the dog for a couple of years before he became very ill with cancer. Do you do some of your own grooming?

:lol3: Weird looking Poodles. :flail: I love Airedales too and I hope that your DH gives in to your whim and inclination!! :cross: There is a lady at the dog park who has four of them! They are SO well behaved and so well trained. I was so very impressed by her authority over her dogs and how they respected her commands. It is always so cool when I see them at the dog park all together. Like a pack of "weird-looking Poodles" when they are not groomed. :lol3: ;)

Angus goes to a groomer about every 8 weeks and it cost about $60.00  ..  I groom the two little dogs myself ..

My father took one of the Airedales to a good groomer, watched carefully, then bought the necessary equipment. He groomed ours and my grandfather's himself. They used to be so funny the first time they were groomed after a long winter. They must have felt naked. :lol3:

You do such a good job grooming your dogs! WOW - Angus looks great and so handsome! That is a great grooming price for Angus - $60.00. My SIL has a Golden Doodle and doesn't get anything fancy done at the groomers, just the basic trim/cut. It costs her $78.00 every six weeks. Her younger one needs grooming every four weeks at about the same price. It's no wonder she is always complaining they have no money. :lol2:

That was so smart and clever of your father. :bigthumb: A great way to learn by watching. I am sure he got better and better as time went by too.

Thank you so much .. The little ones are pretty easy .   I wish I could groom Angus myself  too but he is so big I am not physically able to do it .. Yeah , I can see how it can get expensive for grooming that is the main  reason I do the two myself .
