Help! Perfume problem

I really need some help here. My mother uses White Shoulders perfume. She really LOVES this perfume. Someone told her the other day that they heard it might be discontinued. She has been panicking. Has it been discontinued? Could somebody tell me how I could find out for sure? She might have to get stocked up on it if it is, but I need to know for sure. I wasn't sure where to look or who to ask, so I thought maybe someone might know how I could find out something like that for sure.

My mother wore White Shoulders..it was her favorite too. I still have one of the pink boxes that had her set of powder and perfume. That must have been 20 years ago when she bought it. *sigh*

White Shoulders has always been a favorite of mine,too.

I second the eBay recommendation. I have bought stuff from there that was discontinued years ago; with products like perfume, you don't have to worry about it going bad with age.

One time I decided to search for my all time favorite Avon perfume that had been discontinued years ago and I seriously freaked out when I found it on ebay. I bought like 8 bottles of it

I have enough of the Avon moisturizer I love to last me through the next 5 or 6 winters!

My main problem is that I don't know for sure if it has been discontinued or not. That's what I want to find out.

I just did a pretty thorough search and did not turn up anything that indicated White Shoulders has been discontinued or will be in the near future. So tell your mom not to worry!

I loved this fruity smelling perfume when I was in highschool. I got it for Christmas one year and I still have a little left. When ever I smell it I think of Christmas.

I found it on ebay one day. I was out bid. I don't think I would wear it anymore.

Just as long as Contradiction and Love's Baby Soft isn't discontinued I'll be happy.

(For some reason the boyfriend really likes Love's Baby Soft on me, so I wear it for him. )

All of my favorites always get discontinued:

Scent of a Woman by the Body Shop
Fruit Punch by Escada

No one seems to enjoy really fresh scents anymore.

Calyx by Prescriptives is still made and I finally bought another bottle of it so my Fruit Punch lasts a little longer.

I used to love this one Jasmine perfume that smelled different from any other Jasmine perfume. I can't remember who made it but they made 4 floral scents in misted bottles with white print on them and 4 different colored caps. They made Lilac (lavendar cap), Jasmine (pale pink cap), Rose (dark pink cap), and Gardenia (cream cap). I was allergic to the Rose and Lilac scents and the Gardenia was too heavy for me. Loved the Jasmine, though. Oh, and you bought this at places like Walgreens.

Walmart carries it. the lady that works in Hba could tell you ,also if there is a clearance label on it means walmart won't carry it any more. Use to work at a walmart for 7 years, in jewelry

OMG! Do they still make Love's Baby Soft??? I used to love that! I wore it alot back in the 70's when it first came out..they also had Love's Rain scent and something else (I think it was lemon)....can't remember now.

My two favorites are White Diamonds (E. Taylor) and Rapture...which was one of Victoria's Secret's scents that came in a heart shaped bottle, before they discontinued it....I still have a bottle of it, but maybe I should look on E-bay for some more! Hadn't even thought of that! Thanks Sicy!!!

That is true to a degree....You could ask the saleclerk (you should be able to ask someone in Health & Beauty Aides or someone in Cosmetics) to scan the perfume & see if it's reorderable. Depending on how helpful your clerk is, they could even look up the supplier or manufacturer of the perfume and give you a number to call. It's not always the case on all clearance items. It could be that it's not selling that great at that store, so they're pulling it out for awhile. Also, sometimes they claim they are discontinuing the product but actually they are in the process of reformulating it (slightly changing it).

Oava, btw..I work for Walmart! Wow...there's quite a few members on here that either work or have worked for Walmart! Ironic!

Wow does this post make me feel YOUNG!!! only because my GREAT grandmother used to wear white Shoulders. and Heck I am 26!!! She wore it up until she was put into a nursing home at the nice young age of 97 and lived there until she passed away at 103. I just had to say how young I felt when I read this post. No offense

Google has over 20 pages of sites listing Evian White Shoulders, so I don't think your mom has to worry about it being available in the near future.

I see White Shoulders everywhere! I've seen it at Shopko, Walmart, Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Rite Aide and many other places! It's an old classic. I can't imagine them discontinuing it. I rather like it myself.
