What happened when you get to work?
Nothing. My boss is very easy going. I called him and told him I was on my way but running late. He said to be careful. I work for the best company ever. I love them.

It happened to me once. When Lotto was still a kitten he got out onto my washing lines and proceeded to run along mine and my neighbour'a. We were both standing on our balconies trying to catch him. Eventually I did. My delightful boss said I should have left him out there!!!

   Good story.   Mean boss though.

I think I prefer the sound of your boss @kntrygrl256  !     They sound very understanding.

Be careful with the recliner and be sure your cat is not under it when you move it up or down.  Some cats have been injured that way.

I love the company I work for and my boss. They are very family oriented and VERY understanding about things like that. They will help any way they can.

I am very careful about my recliner. I only had one cat that would get under the couch/recliner so we are careful when we sit back and up. Zander is good about staying on top because she wants attention.

Fun weekend with Zander.

Her favorite game to play is hide and jump. She also loves to play chase.

We are getting ready to move in about a month so I have started packing all non-essentials. Yesterday I was packing my books and other stuff and of course Miss Zander had to help, sort of....

She would hide and jump out at me while I was walking around getting stuff. She would sit on the couch and when I got near it, she would jump on the back and swipe at me.  Then she would hide in her room and run after me when I was walking through the house.

Then of course I would have to get her back so I would hide around the corner and when she would come through looking for me I would jump out and scare her. She would jump up at me and run to her room with me right behind her. When I would walk out she would chase me back through the house.

Needless to say... I didn't get much packing done. We were having too much fun playing.

I love hunt the human / hide and seek!    Thankfully so does Mouse.  I know what you mean though, it would rather get in the way of packing.
  Much more fun though.

I wouldn't mind hide and seek, at least then I would know she was hiding from me

It's when I'm in the process of walking through the room and she jumps out at me and scares the daylights out of me

I think she is hiding from you - so she can jump out to surprise you then chase you through the house.
Then she expects you to do the same to her.
I doubt you want to climb in to any of those packing boxes but hiding behind doors, wall corners and furniture do just as well.  Heheheh.   Mouse gets really excited when I stand behind an open door and stick my head round sporadically - he watches and waits for a few seconds or so then dives across the room and jumps on to a high backed chair I have on the room side of the door so he is almost at my head height and almost nose to nose the next time I pop my head round.   Like I'd be surprised he was there because obviously he makes as much noise as a herd of elephants racing across the room and almost tipping the chair over as he lands on it.
He chases me down the hall and then we go through it all again but around a wall corner.

The good thing about how much Zander is enjoying leaping out of boxes and scaring the living daylights out of you is she doesn't seem to be too distressed by all the chaos around her.  Long may this last, and also help you settle her when you finally move to the new place.

Oh yeah, she will have her own room at the new place. I will make sure she has all her stuff in there so she should be too distressed. I know there will be some but I hope I can ease her into the change easy.

I know it's been a while since my last update but well life has gotten hectic.....

Zander is growing like crazy and getting prettier everyday. I have pictures but not with me but I will get them posted soon. She is my constant companion when I'm at home. I forgot what it's like to have an active kitten around the house but she is a great reminder.

We are still in the process of getting things ready to move and will be doing so this weekend. I've been getting ideas on how I want to fix up her room. I can't wait to get started. She is so smart but also very stubborn.

I have been feeding her wet food and keeping dry out during the day so she can have something to snack on, but she didn't really like the wet food I was getting. I read in another thread about trying Fancy Feast classics. I bought a few cans and she LOVES them. She would just nibble at the other wet foods I got but will inhale these. She loves the liver & chicken. She won't leave her room until her bowl is clean where before she would leave when I walked out of her room and go back to eat a little at a time.

As for her nose, it's flatter than a normal nose and now that she's bigger her eye on the side don't have as much drainage as before. She will be going to the vet on Friday for her check up, shots and worming. I can't wait to see what they think of her now. I am still amazed at her everyday and the strength she has to get through everything she has. I will be talking to them about setting up for her to be spayed. Her vet don't like to spay before 6 months ??

What a pretty kitteh (not that I can see her of course, what with her hiding and all....
).   I bet the vets are going to be all over her when you take her in, what a special cat she is.
Loads of hugs and pets for Zander from me, when she isn't in mid zoomie of course, just when she's settling in with you for a little nap.

Dropped her off at the vet's office this morning. She was so pitiful on the drive there. They were surprised at how big she had gotten and how good her nose looks.

When they took the larvae out of her nose she weighed 1.5 lbs and when they weighed her this morning she weighed 3.6 lbs. They took her out of her carrier and all got to cuddle and love on her before taking her back to be put in the kennel. I will pick her up this evening after work. I will have to get her some extra special treats/food before I get her today.

It's been about 9 weeks since the surgery on her nose and soon she will be ready to be spayed. She will get all her vaccinations and will go back in 2 weeks for her booster.  Then I will set her up to be spayed.

2.1 lb gain since she felt better.    Zander's a growing girl with a healthy apetite.
I bet everyone at the surgery had a great time loving on her and fighting to get their cuddles.   It must feel great for them to see her looking so well.  If she is used to them and not so frightened of the staff at the surgery it will help with the vaccinations and going in for her surgery too, as long as she doesn't get wary with going in a few times close together.   Given how much she has had to see them so far though I suspect she will be fine.   Enjoy showering her with cuddles and treats this evening.

Oh yes she loved all the attention. She was a little wary of being in a different place but she didn't give any trouble with them cuddling her. They were all amazed at how well she looked. She goes back for her booster in a couple weeks. She was glad to get home and she got her favorite wet food, Fancy Feast Classic liver and chicken.

It was a busy weekend with us moving. She watched everything that was going on and was enjoying being able to go out on the porch because the door was open. I haven't moved her and Sammy yet but they will be moved today. I didn't want them to stress too much so I am waiting to take them last, once everything is finished. We have everything piled in their room right now but I will be working on getting all of it out this week so I can start getting their room fixed. That will help them settle in even more.
