I'd never colored my hair before and thought it would be fun to try streaking it.  I had no idea it would take so long.  Ugh.  Now I'm starting to get gray, too, but I'm leaving it as is.  As Popeye the Sailor said:  I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam."

Any colouring that gets done is done at my house. I don't colour often but usually it's just to cover up the gray.

My mom use to say, "I'm not growing old gracefully, I'm going to fight it every step of the way!" LOL

I live by those same words. My body may be falling apart but I'm still young at heart and personality LOL

My mom and dad color each other's hair. It's pretty cute and funny to watch.

I'm sitting under the chair right now with color on my hair.

I don't like the small talk either, but my hair dresser has zero filter so it can be entertaining at times. Right now her and another hairdresser are online trying to buy Viagra from Canada for her dog. Lol.

I go once a month.
And I wish there's an option at hairdressers, "I prefer to daydream than talk."
I color and cut my own hair, they never get it right!. One of my best friends was a part time hairstylist so she taught me how to cut and color it! I went 8 years ago, then December 2014 for blue color all over, and that's it!

Then you definitely shouldn't try an all blue hair! I did that December 2014 and it took 8-9 hours of processing! At the end I was pretty happy with the result, though I wanted it more aqua -->
 than blue -->
What color did you dye it?

I color to get rid my gray hair.  I don't really mind the gray but the brown has gotten darker (is that salt and pepper?) and I don't like the way it looks.  I have a hard time just getting a color and cut, then I want to leave w/my hair wet.  But the stylist blow drys it and I have to stop her before she puts anything on my hair.  Why does it all smell so awful!

I used to pull the gray hairs out but I was getting a gray mohawk as it grew back in.  LOL

I wore my hair grey for a long time and loved my color. But the texture changed when it greyed so I decided to have color. She does it with foils, puts low lights and high lights. I am done and now I look beautiful.

YAY CONTEST!

Going to a big wedding this weekend. It will be....interesting! To say the least! Long story
mayhaps I shall dabble more into that topic another time.

In other news, I'm hoping to see the Magna Carta this month. Wooooo!

Oooh, this is fun! My mom finally stopped coloring her hair, but this last Sunday I was at her house to bbq & she asked me to put a light relaxer in her hair. Its more of a texturizer that loosens the curl since her hair is super curly & kinky. It came out super cute! Only problem...her gray hair had a green tinge!! Thankfully it came out after 3 shampoos.

Green hair. That sounds like something to lose sleep over. I am glad it came out after some shampoo. Oh my, what women will do to look lovely.

My DD just texted me that she is on her way home from UTK. She had her orientation yesterday and today. I can't wait to hear how it all went. Her dad took her because I couldn't get off work to go with her.

She will be starting college on August 19, I'm proud of her but sad that she will be so far away.

I just coloured my hair red from brown last week. I've been getting a lot of comments on it. I need to get it trimmed soon.

A few years ago, I had just found out I was pregnant for the first time and was getting a haircut. The hairdresser asked if I had any kids and I said no, not yet and she told me to wait a while longer. I felt so awkward. I don't like small talk either.

If you have any questions about hair coloring, feel free to ask me or PM me, although I'm not a professional, I have experienced myself and done a lot of dying for my sister and friends, so I might be able to give some great tips hair color tips to you or anyone who would like some!

The one time I went to a hair salon (for the blue reference I just posted) the hair dresser I asked about how long she had been in the business, what were some of the weirdest hair things people asked for and such. My way of approaching it was to ask about them rather than they ask about me

Oh, cool hair colors!! Since I am not quite up to green, I think I'll do it red again before the box expires.

Yes, I do have a question about hair color. My hair is very short right now, and since I probably only need half the amount in the box, is there some way to store half of the stuff in the bottle? The stuff in the tube would be already safe. Can I put it in a ziplock Baggie and use that to mix the cream stuff with next month, and just snip a corner (like cake frosting haha)?

Cool contest!

I can't stand people touching my hair. I honestly only get it cut when this is absolutely essential! I am happy today since I just found out from my fiance that our cat introduction has been a real success.  Both cats were curled up in his computer chair this morning.

@kntrygrl256 I feel your pain>  My youngest just bought airline tickets to return to MSU Bozeman next month.  It's his 3rd year and he will be sharing an apartment w/3 friends.  Doesn't want me to go with him to get supplies or anything.  He will not have a car, one of the room mates does but he doesn't know when they are returning.  Told him he should stick a roll of TP in his bag so at least he'll have that!

@Handsome Kitty That makes me think of my father when he moved into his apartment. He thought he had thought of all of the things that he would need when he got there, but completely forgot to bring TP! He ended up having to find one later on.

My sister lived in Boston without a car for years during college, she was terrible at getting the supplies at all. I don't know how she didn't starve.
