Jake, out of the blue decided that we would go back home to NZ in August, 2004. I am already stressed thinking about the flights, costs, what to move to NZ and the cats. My dad upset me tonight by saying that I should leave the cats behind and get some new ones in NZ. He doesnt understand how attached I am to Peedoodle and Kahu. I am just worrying myself sick with all this stuff, will we have enough money, will the cats be able to come to NZ?
It should be a happy moment but I feel so stressed.

Just had to vent. Thanks.

Kell that's great that you are going home though- isn't that what you've always wanted? I can give you an email of a gal that transports cats all over the world with her air cargo company. She will be able to help you with all your questions about how to go about this easily.

It will all work out, don't stress about it-

Oh yeah, it is the best thing for me, but the stressful part is the money, etc. I get stressed easily when I worry. I would love the contact details of this woman. Oh gosh, I am going to start crying. You are a blessing.

The cool thing is, Kellye, that even when you go, you'll still be right here!

Try to relax. Things will work out.

I've got a big move in July so that I finally finish my studies. It's stressing me out big time especially with the kitties. Plan for little goals at a time for the overall bigger picture. It makes things a lot simpler.

Hey Kellye, not exactly sure why Jake wants to shift there earlier than expected... surely things would work themselves out. there must be a way to work it out. talk to me if you need somebody to talk to. you know where you can get me.

Kate, I know why Jake wants to move earlier...and that is all fine, but the planning part is what gets to me

Kellye - just think of spending time with your son and being home. Keep that in clear focus and everything else will fall into place! Good luck. Maybe to save some money cut back on the vegamite ordering until you can get it there!

We definitely cannot afford to take the cats home, its going to cost approx $5000 all together, money that we do not have. I am NOT taking them to a shelter, I am going to have to find them a new home. Oh god, I can't stop crying.

Kellye, there has to be a way you can take them with you. What is involved in the $5000? Are there ways you can save money? Let's all brainstorm and see what we can come up with.

Approx $2800 are for the shipping costs. That does not include quarantine which will cost over a thousand for 30 days, and there are the vet fees.

this is from an email I was sent:

Total costs would probably run in the $2700-2800 range, not including
costs of permits, vet work for tests for rabies titer tests, or the
quarantine costs upon arrival.

Yeah Hissy. I just wanted to say thanks for giving me that woman's contact details, but there is just no way we can take them, unless we win the lottery. I guess that means it is time to start looking for new homes for them. oh god, it hurts.

OMG Kellye!! (((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) I hope and pray that you will be able to figure something out to bring them with you. Try not to panic yet, there are always more options to explore...
