i am appalled a breeder would let a kitten go at 23 days old. that is deplorable! but thank you for trying your best to do your best for him. he should have been with his mama for at least another 6 weeks! kittens also love gerber baby food meat (human kind). i would take a cat of wet kitten food, some gerber chicken/turkey/beef and mix in KMR to make it soupy when i was weaning my fosters. then put it in a shallow dish. they will make a huge mess but they really liked it. i also used nutrical at first. that comes in a tube and you just put a bit on the roof of their mouth if they won't lick it off your finger..

cow's milk will cause diarrhea and little kittens can die quickly of dehydration.

This is why I hate my country, found similar probs with my hamsters too.

Thnks for all your help everyone :) I will do my best to have Jeff grow healthy and well :)

Young kittens tend to demand a lot of attention.  I got my Starbuck who is now nine years old when she was only six weeks old.  She was separated from her mom and siblings at a very young age around 3-4 weeks old.  Some ass tossed her out a car window and a friend's family happened to see it happen and immediately rescued her.  Even though she was fine with eating kibble when I adopted her I supplemented her with wet food for a while.  She was very attention hungry and would also meow a lot because she wanted to be on us.  I have other cats she was bonded with but she still demanded a lot of attention as a baby. Good luck with your new baby.

Thnx :)

I got her: lactose low fat (sadly it was the only type I could find, no goat milk anywhere!) no pet store has those. :/

Today she is biting or nibbling hard xD cute but a bit of painful if she grows her teeth quicker. Sneaky little fella wants to wonder off and is now capable of escaping from his box(I secured it now) >_<

He is getting big :D almost one month old  ^.^ those little ones are too cute to be left behind. Idk how people had the heart to throw them out :'(

You can also feed him some yogurt too.  The kitten will need some sort of fat.  Can you mix the milk w/wet cat food, make like a mush he can lap up?  You'll have to introduce it by having him lick it off your finger at first.

I don't know how people can throw cats away either.  Eclipse was rescued from a dumpster.  They weren't able to find any of his litter mates.

So sorry for eclipse :/ hope the siblings are found someday soon.

i used the milk on my hands/fingers before, especially when I noticed him sucking and licking on our skin. It worked well. and now since he is getting his small teeth, he'll start nibbling on food in few weeks maybe days :) ganna try the yogurt (its cow, i hope it doesn't get problems?)

he's been crawling about everywhere! \(-v-)/ :D

25 days old and away from his mother, I am seriously shocked. Is there any reason why he has moved this early?

At this age, he should still be on milk, but at this age I also slowly get my kittens used to wet food. You can try giving him some proper kitten wet food, but make sure to start with really little and getting him used slowly (also stay around to make sure he's eating and swallowing well). Start with maybe a theespoon full of kitten wet food, and the next day again if you are sure there hasn't been any serious diarrhea (for me, they usually don't have). After a couple of days you can give him a little more, so he can get some extra food aside from the milk. The milk you have to continue for a while longer tho. Also, make sure he's poo'ing and pee'ing. If not, you will have to help him with it. Mom usually does this until they start different types of food, and because you are his new mom, you might need to step in ;)

well, actually, Jeff came to us early because on that day, my hamster died and I was upset about that. SO mom went and said she wanted the kitty(the breeder refused at first, but mom said she has the bottles to feed him and she had done it before) thats why Jeff came early to me. So for safe side, I kept checking for solution to take care of him. Like the proper milk and how to help him eliminate. (he doesn't poop only pees. I don't know how to figure that out, tried everything, nothing works. But I read he will do it on his own very very soon. Tho, still trying to help him out cz its worrying me not to see him do it yet)

but this wet food, i don't quite understand it xD Never seen one like it. But, my sis got him kitten food for when he becomes six weeks, its called frisquies. its small, but dry food) and we even got him a litter box and the sand type thingy used for cats(sorry i dont know the words for those.)

To help the kitten poop you need to gently rub his belly then tap w/ your finger near his tail.  You can also use cotton balls or make-up remover sponges to gently wipe down.  Don't wait for him to go on his own.

Yes, you'll be moving the poop down the 'line' and out.  The mother cat usually does this.  You can also clean the kitten like the mother would using a warm damp cloth but be careful, the kitten must be kept warm and not really get wet.

Has he eaten enough to go?  It may take a little time, and they do not go every day.   It will have the consistency of toothpaste.  Have patience and try again after every feeding.

How much and how often are you feeding the kitten? It needs to drink several mL at each feeding about every 3 to 4 hours. Do you feed it or does your mom feed it?

You must rub its bottom with a warm, damp cloth or cotton ball after each and every feeding to stimulate it to poop.

When the kitten is 4 weeks old you can begin to try soft wet food mixed with formula to make it easy to lap from a dish.

my mom and I take turns, bcz each of us is somewhere, so we feed him every 2-3 hours. I don't exactly know the quantity, but its by use of an ear dropper, guess its 0.8 ml. sometimes he eats one and half, now he ate two!

I took him the vet ( no use) he didn't even check him up, so anything! he even told me to feed Jeff cow milk :/

and that is yet the beginning. "he'll poop out eventually, just put him in a little box. Nothing stays in there forever" if Jeff was going to, it wouldn't have been four days :|

but overall, if Jeff was at any risk, he wouldn't be moving around climbing and hyper :)

I almost got him to defecate, but he stopped before it. T^T Now i am hoping he got constipation, things would be different! i just don't know what else to do! there are tones of people like me out there, failing this process.

Why did i have to be in this country! :/

Do you have any olive oil?  You can put a drop or two in the milk and they might help things along.

What country are you in?

The kitten needs far more milk than he is getting. He needs 3 or 4 mL's of formula at each feeding, and he needs to poop.

Do you stimulate him to go after every meal?

You can add a few drops of olive or vegetable oil to his formula at each feeding to help him go poop.

Can you buy a kitten bottle to feed him with? He is big enough now to suck a bottle. You just put a cut into the nipple.
