Okay, so vet is unavailable for two weeks and I don't want to get robbed again so I'm asking you guys. One year old tabby cat (half siamese half bengal) begun keeping his left eye closed. It had white discharge. We washed it we a boric solution. Discharge begun to stop. Then, the next day, his eye was red. Washed it with a saline solution. Now the color is back to normal, but he keeps squinting from that eye and it is kind of swollen still. The discharge also kind of came back. He is still playful and eats normally.

Should I take him to the emergency center or can I wait for my regular vet?

Call the regular vet and see if someone is taking his patients or filling in for him.  They shouldn't just have no one to help their patients for 2 weeks.

I live in a little town, he's the only "vet" in his clinic. Then there is the animal hospital and the consult is 165$ plus tax. For just the consult.

My vet does have a technician but she just said that if the cat was getting better, I should just use Polysporin... but I heard it could cause severe allergic reactions in cats?
