My cat Tucson got diagnosed with diabetes when I took him to the Vet to check out why he was peeing outside the box, turned out he had UTI, which was caused by this new found diabetes.
Treatment:
he got a shot of Convenia, has been on 2 units of insulin twice daily for 3 weeks at regular hours (7am and 7pm), wet food only, (low carb high protein no grain), fed at regular hours twice daily, amount of 3oz in the morning and 3oz at night.
3 weeks after treatment he no longer needs insulin, has been off it for one week now! It's amazing, went ahead and followed those simple rules and it seems to be working."
I wanted to share this because when I started this "tight protocol" thing, I didn't believe in it that much, was motivated by: "What have I got to lose" so "what the heck" why not, kind of attitude.
Hope this inspire some to go ahead and find the strenght to try it, it's really worth the try, at least in my case it was, so maybe it'll work for you too!
