Does anyone else have a problem with the cube slice and minced recipe?

Not sure I understand your question.  Wellness Core is one variety.  The cubed is NOT part of Wellness Core, but it IS part of Wellness.  Same with the minced and slided...part of Wellness, but not part of Wellness Core.  ALL of the Wellness CORE are pates.

And WHAT type of problem are you experiencing with the cubed, sliced and minced recipes.  I, personally, only use the CORE and occasionally the Complete Health, so will not be able to help you, but if others look at your thread, it will be helpful if they see what type of issues YOU are having

Oh yeah. I realised I like to call it wellness core. My bad there

But I meant the cube minced slided recipe.

My kitty has no problem with either chicken or turkey but when fed with wellness. She had runny poop.

Anyone had the same issue?

We've had a few that don't seem to have a particular protein intolerance, but are sensitive to gums and other thickeners, particularly carrageenan.

What other foods have you fed that your cat has tolerated?

It's weird because she eats kitten wellness core just fine.

She's okay with avoderm zelandia ziwipeak

Ok. The minced Wellness has about double the ingredients of the kitten Wellness CORE. The minced has a higher carb content and also contains dried egg whites and dried egg product. Either of these could be the culprit for the diarrhea.

Hmm she's able to eat raw egg quail and chicken just fine. I find this really strange. I was thinking it might be the greens? If I'm not wrong it does contain peas and other greens right

Cats' stomachs can be so hard to predict! One of ours can't eat foods with potato because they make her vomit.

I agree with CatPack about the ingredient list of Wellness's minced foods: it's a long list and there are lots of potential problems on it.

Also: our cats love the Wellness CORE kitten food, which they get as an occasional treat, and they both seem to do fine with it. I keep our cats on a pretty low-carb diet--they're Siamese mixes and their stomachs are kind of finicky--so have never fed them anything Wellness other than some of the CORE foods (the low-carb ones without potato) but I even limit those to just every now and then because they all have carrageenan.

Good luck figuring this out!

If thats the case , what other alternative should I consider :(

Carrageenan is a thickening agent that is made from seaweed. There are varying ideas on this particular ingredient and whether it should be included in food or not. It's thought to possible cause or make worse inflammation, particularly in the gut/intestines.

Any quality food will have a list of ingredients on the label. Carrageenan will be one of these ingredients listed if it is included in that particular food.

All of Wellness's canned foods, including the CORE line contain carrageenan.

Nature's Variety Instinct is a good brand and does NOT contain any gums or thickeners (this would include carrageenan). Nature's Variety's Pride line also does not contain carrageenan, but does contain guar gum.

I found a brand named Zealandia, fairly certain this is the brand you are asking about.

It looks like a good food. They use Cassia Gum as a thickening agent. They do mention a vague "stabilizers" which I am not sure exactly what this means.

Thanks, @CatPack, for answering these questions far more briefly than I could have!

I avoid carrageenan for our cats because of the possibility of it contributing to inflammation: there are enough foods without potato and carrageenan that there's still plenty to chose from.

The canned food brands we feed are Tiki Cat (especially Gourmet Carnivore), Nutro Natural Choice (which they love), Weruva's Cats in the Kitchen, and some occasional "variety meals" from Hound & Gatos (lamb only), Soulistic (mostly chicken and pumpkin), and the very occasional CORE kitten food. I feel best about Tiki Cat because it's just meat(s) and broths that don't have thickeners.
