I hope nobody posted a thread like this yet

Elgin, Il. to a friend's house for a New Year's party. It is another friends B-day also (she will be at the party too.)

I definitely will be home unless my friends were to ask me out for dinner... otherwise, i'll spend it with my kitties and of course my tv...

New Year's Celebrations already? But Christmas is barely over.

I haven't got any plans yet. But I'm guessing it'll be something spontaneous. But I'll let you know if something gets decided about it.

It will be me, Tybalt and the kitties, with some Asti Spumante for the humans and nip for the felines. We'll watch the ball drop on TV, and then go outside and yell and make noise at midnight.

I will be thrilled to see this year end, and a new one start!

Bill and I are going to the same club, that we always do. The band is good, the crowd is well-behaved and the tickets are only $10 each. Since we take a cab, I get to have a few nips of Mr. Daniels' finest sour mash, too.

No, I will probably do the same thing I have done for the past 6 years, sit at home wishing I was out doing something. Have I mentioned lately that I HATE Jacksonville, NC?

Probably end up staying home and play with the kitties, unless my hubby decides to go somewhere. The only thing that sucks is I work on New Year's Day, AND I don't even get paid holiday pay. Bastads!

Since I have to work, the following Saturday, I'm off on NYE. Good thing - it takes longer to put me together, these days. I've been saving a slinky red dress, for several months and I found a pair of rhinestone-trimmed pantyhose, to go with it.

Staying at home, with the tv on loud, so my younger dog doesn't get too scared of the noise... Can't go anywhere, since I'm the only one that can calm him down a bit. Not that I'd want to, too many (drunk) people everywhere!

Ok, call me weird if you wish, but unless something comes up, we'll be spending our NYE at an all night singing with our singer friends from Knoxville, TN.

I'll be doing the same thing I do every year - staying home calming the cat, while fireworks (legal here) explode all around. The only difference this year will be that my husband has to work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., so it'll be just Jamie and I. I had invited a friend over, but she just called me today to tell me she's in bed with the flu. I've taped some films, and also have a good book in reserve. And there are always the forums.

I don't know if I'll be doing anything exciting. I'm happy that I'm not working New Years Eve, and that's enough for me right now.

I'm on vacation on NYE until the 6th of Jan. NYE is my birthday so some of our friends are throwing a party for me so I won't have to go bar hopping and noone will have to be the designated driver cause we can all stay at their house until the next day. Oh yeah I'll be watching the ball drop too since I've done that every year for as far back as I can remember.

Working! Yeah, I'm doing the swing shift this week. 3-11 for people on the other side of the world who don't celebrate the same holidays.

Out for dinner then home to snuggle.

We will go to my parents house for dinner, were my 2 sisters will aslo be (one of them comes along with her s/o and the other one lives there). At 10.30 PM there a yearly program on TV that the whole nations watches, and when that´s finished, at 11.30, the fireworks starts like crazy. They have been on a bit through the day, but towards midnight everything goes crazy. Everyone stays out on the streets and watches and shoots up fireworks, and after midnight, drink some bubbly wine and take photos, and shoot more fireworks. At about 12.30-1.00 we go inside (or later, depending on the temperature outside ), have a drink, eat snacks, get warm by the fireplace and talk or play games (like pictionary and such) into the night, and then go home somewhere between 6 and 9 on New Years Day.
