Hello my name is kimberly i came to this website trying to find some answers.. My cat name pig is about a year and 4 months she is pregnant and i have no idea how far along she is or when she got pregnant. But her nipples have definitely increased is size and her appitite had also increased dramatically but just today she seemed to have slowwed down.. I have been feeling like her babies are almost here but there isnt ALOT of movement.dont get me wrong i can see movement just not alot.. Please help and for those of you who are wondering why her name is pig its because she has a curled tail.

It sounds like your pretty cat is nearing the end of her pregnancy.

We have some great links you can read at the top of the forum that will tell you what to expect.

Have you set up a nesting area for her in a private area of the house, such as your bedroom closet?

Move her food, water, and litter box into your room so she doesn't have to go far after her kittens are born.

Cats often stop eating as much when they are close to labor and delivery.

Good luck and keep us posted on her progress! :)

She won't go into the nest too soon.  She doesn't want to soil it or attract predators.  Most cats like a couple options.  Can you set up a couple of other nests or put down old t-shirts or blankets in places she seems to like?

I'm not sure if pillows are a good idea or not.  You don't want anything that the kittens can roll off of or in between.  They cannot regulate their body heat until 3 weeks old so if they get stuck away from the mom it could be fatal.

Yes i will fix up some more nests and its really just a pillow case filled with a small blanket becauze i heard sometimes the kittens can get stuck between the folds. She doesnt seem to distressed or in pain just verry affectionate but she is really big already
