Not sure how to start a new thread. I have a question about how to care for my outdoor cat. My cat is outdoors and there is a slightly heavy smoke coming into my area. So much so that it is bothersome for me. Should I call my cat inside or will she cone in on her own. Is it terribly bad for her health to be outside. Should I make her stay in???

I would tend to want to get and keep her inside until it passes.

What is the smoke from?

I'm in the Vancouver BC area. We have forest fires in our area. Not close to where I live but yesterday the smoke started coming in and then there was a fire not too far from me that made the smoke quite bothersome for even me. I was thinking it'd be a good idea to bring my Tiger inside but was told I was over reacting. I left her out an extra hour and dexuded to bring her in. I just pray she doesn't go stir crazy on me throughout the night. US humans will pay. :)

Oh I see.

While I don't think she will have any issues with this, even if she does actually inhale the smoke, it's really not going to be concentrated enough to cause any problems.

If it makes you feel more comfortable having her inside, and she doesn't make you crazy, then I would keep her in for now :)

I admire your dedication to your cat!
