We recently adopted a kitten. She's now  up to date on all her vaccines. She got the PureVax Rabies Vaccine. I have an autoimmune disease, which may cause my immune system to be compromised. My kitten tends to be a bit nippy when you play with her too much/pet her too much. I'm slightly afraid of her in the case she wants to nip me.

Do you think it's safe to pet her and let her sleep with me in my room?

Well, I have a compromised immune system, and have 3 cats, one who jumps on my back all the time, with his claws
Sometimes I'm just wearing a very thin spaghetti strap top and end up with lots of scratches on my back because he basically has nothing to dig into other than me if he doesn't land right .  I have also been nipped at a couple of times when any of them got too excited about something, especially when they were kitten.

So...take that for what it's worth.  If nothing else, talk to your doctor and see what he says.  Do you ever get cuts around the house or outside?  If so, what do you do?  I'm guessing just clean up the area and go on?  Or something else?  If it's something else, then is it something you could do for a kitten scratch or nip?

One rule of thumb for kittens/cats when playing is to never use your hands as toys, that way you can avoid most scratches.  Use wands.  Here, maybe this article will help you during playtime:  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/playtime-aggression
