Bump on Cats head

Hi, I would like some advice.
I noticed yesterday that my cat has a bump on his head. I had thought that maybe he has been stung by a bee. But my brother mentioned he had accidentally shut the door on Phoenix's head. There is swelling around his head and his nose has started to swell up. I have not been able to ring the vets due to the fact it is the weekend. But I will be ringing them tomorrow morning. Phoenix is fine otherwise, eating, playing and sleeping. He seems oblivious to anything.
Is there any advice or anything I can do in the mean time?
The area looks read and swollen. It is obvious it is swelling because when I touch the area it is raised and soft.

Keep a close eye on him and if you notice any changes call the vet immediately or get him to an emergency vet if the have one in your area.

Phoneix had a abcess. I took him to the vets the next morning. The swelling looked really bad and I wasn't able to sleep with worry. The vet cleaned out the abcess and gave him some antibiotics. It is healing now but he still has slight swelling. How long will the swelling take to fully reduce and go back to normal? I had forgot to ask my vet this information.
