My friend was watching a friends dog and brought it over knowing I'm really a cat person. The dog was getting belly scratches and nipped my leg through my cotton pjs. My leg has 3 small Punctures. As far as I know this dog has had no vaccinations. He is one year old and seems to be healthy. My bite looks good I'm just worried about rabies. I live about 16 miles from NYMA (west point) NY
That's the nip on my thigh.
I'm freaking out here.

I would just keep an eye on it. Dog bites can be worse than cat bites if you were bit badly.. and it looks like you weren't bit badly IMO. And the nips look fine to me... It sounds like the dog got overstimulated to me plus he's young; it doesn't sound like aggression. And rabies is very rare for a dog to get unless he gets into it with wild animals. Are you going to report the bite? I honestly wouldn't.. unless it has happened before. Talk to the owner about it. What breed is the dog?

The dog was raised with cats and children. In fact he was great with my 3 yro and 5 yro.

Like I said it sounds like he got overstimulated. The nips he gave you don't look serious. If he was aggressive; you'd have holes in your legs not little nips.

It doesn't look like anything to get concerned about to me. miagi's_mommy miagi's_mommy is right - it was most likely due to overstimulation/ecstasy.

If it's the law that cats are vaccinated for rabies, then surely it's the same for dogs too? (Not that I know about American laws, just being logical). I got bitten much worse than that a couple of years ago - so long as you've been vaccinated for tetanus I really wouldn't worry.

The people that own him are poor. He's a black lab pit mix. Super sweet and friendly. He has had no vax no neutering. am not in contact with them cause they will just laugh.
He was confined to an apt with cats and kids and not much love. When his sitter brought him here he loved my big back yard and the kiddie pool and thought he was in heaven.

That's disappointing they will just laugh. :( I bet he did. My brother's Lab mix loves water!

It's irresponsible to just laugh. Even though it was unintentional, their dog did hurt you, and they should acknowledge that fact. It sounds like his owners are lacking both basic manners and common sense :(
