As I understand, he is "just" a classic tabby domestic.  Or marbled tabby domestic.

A bookmakers bet would go very heavy for it, unless you had solide proofs for something else.  Alike he was after an admitted stunning beauty apparently a bengal mom...

Of course, the mom probably WAS a marbled too, as its dominant gene.   (although striped =mackerel tabby is even stronger).    So, daddy could also been the tabby, but usuallw we know for sure if it was the mom.   :)

Domestic  classic tabby or pet quality marbled bengal - be happy with what you got.  Be is very nice and beautiful as he is.

Its really preferable he is a domestic - real bengals tends to be quite lively and energetic, not everyone manage to copy up with them.

I understand.  The only safe bet is to tell she is a domestic, even if classic tabby isnt that common (in England its more common, they believe the mutation happened in England).

Yeah.  But another word for classic tabby is marbled tabby or blotched tabby.  Although with bengals, they never say classic tabby, they use always the synonyme marbled bengal.

So you were anyways right when you called her for marbled in the beginning.

Of course, in a purebred bengal the pattern is quite refined.  Even so more in the spotted tabby variants of bengals.

(btw, its quite common both mackerel tabby and classic tabby have some spots on the tummy.  It doesnt count as spotted tabby nor bengal.  To count as a spotted tabby they must have at least several spots on the rest of the body).
