We have rescued a total of four litters of cats from behind our old house; they lived under our garage for over eight years before we finally got them all out! We experienced lots of births and deaths, love and heartbreak, and joy when we could see one go to a great new home after gently caring for and socializing them as young ones.
First we have our oldest, Miss Smokey. She's a bitter little six year old and she does love laying in her window. She's a good four years younger here! She's much fluffier now.
Next is our four-year-old fat guy, Captain. Formerly known as Mittens, he enjoys eating his sibling's food and letting me use him as a pillow. He also likes being tucked into bed.
Then we have our expectant momma, Princess. She is known in this household as Whitey, but that's a stupid name and she is very regal. Featured - her now and her and Captain when she was new, three years ago.
And lastly is Mister Sydney. Formerly known as Blackie, and a whopping one-year old, he is going to become a father in about 3 weeks! He turns rusty brown in the sunlight, and he only lets me and my mother pet him. We thought he was a girl - sorry about that, handsome!
He has the most gorgeous eyes. That's my growing family! Feel free to post photos of yours in the comments <3
