Does Vessie have a broken nose????!

A few days ago me, my fiance mom and sister noticed our year old kitten went missing so we went to the local animal shelter and saw that he was there they told us they neutured him but that didn't upset us all that much. So we re adopted him and was on our way back home, in the car we noticed his name collar was WAY too tight around his neck and when we got him in the house he went straight for the water bowl and drank form it for almost thirty minutes. After we got him something to eat and made him comfortable I noticed his nose... Its swollen and purple and it leaks a whole bunch. please reply what you think. Before he left our house he's nose was not like that but now it is. HE wont eat and he keeps his mouth open all the time. Please cat lovers give me your input!!!!!!

You should take Vessie to a vet to be checked out. He may have experienced some sort of trauma at the animal shelter or picked up a respiratory infection while under their care.
Please keep him safe indoors & keep him as an indoor cat now that you've rescued & adopted him. You & your family have been very kind in searching for him & bringing Vessie home.
