My poor baby went to the vet today. She yelled at me because he's fat. He's 13 pounds (She said he should be 8 or 9!)

They took some blood to send to the lab. They gave him subcutaneous fluids (he was only a little dehydrated.) They gave him a shot of antibiotics and gave me a prescription for Baytril. They also gave him a Cyproheptadine to stimulate his appetite. They gave me some to give him as well.

Does the cypro take a long time to work?

Keep him in your thoughts. I hope the bloodwork comes back fine!

He will definatly be in my thoughts. The Cypro shouldn't take very long to kick in. From what I understand, it takes about 24 hours to get into the system.
