Good morning!
 And Happy Friday! (And happy day before July 4th, too)

We have talked about the number of keys on our key rings. But have we ever talked about key rings themselves? (And am I scraping the bottom of the barrel here for our Question of the Day?
 )

What is on your key ring (other than keys)? Do you have a key ring from your garage where you got your car? Is it just a ring and that's it? What's your key ring like?

My key ring is easily about 30 years old. It has a blue leather fob with a lighter blue flower and a "P" for Pam. Rick got it for me when we were at a craft show decades ago and I've used it ever since. (Remember the old leather belts with flowers and such? Well, that's the era of my leather fob.) It's a fairly big fob, too, which helps me to easily find my keys when they're at the bottom of my purse.

What about you? What are you using on your key ring?

Mine are totally boring. The main one, is the ring from the car dealer, which has the automatic car door opener on it, and house keys.  Nothing decorative.

The other ring, has nothing special either. Just keys and a bunch of store discount cards on it.  I've had nice, fun key rings but inevitably they fall apart, or the cute thing on it falls off.  I have a Gumby one from this past years secret santa which is in the package; I just know if I use it that it too will fall apart from getting knocked around in my bag.

I'm hard on things

I have a burgundy leather fob with a Retired Greyhound Trust metal logo on it. I got it at a county show about 7 years ago (my old mare was doing a demo with a trainer there). It's pretty basic, but a decent enough size that my keys are easy to find in my bag.

I have one that has an R on it and one that is a nail file. I need to make it big enough that when my daughter takes my keys, I can easily hunt them down.

My keyring has a large blue faux crystal hanging from it.  I had taken it from a handbag it was attached to.  When I got rid of the handbag, I kept this crystal because I really liked it.

My keyring is a very cool Day of the Dead cat.  I got it as a gift a couple of years ago from my Secret Santa here on TCS, in fact.  The plastic is cracked and scratched up now, I may have to get myself another one soon.

I am SUPER cool.  I have a small blue carabiner hook (like you'd use for rock climbing) on mine.  I hook my keys to my belt loop a lot.  I also have a pink metal breast cancer awareness ribbon and a little pink flip flop that says "I <3 DH."  It actually says his name; but you get the picture.  I believe we were dating when I got it.  I just don't remember if I bought it or if he did!

My key ring is pretty cool too. It's a red steel gecko that not only keeps your keys together but also opens beer bottles. It was a present from a friend of my brother's, I got it in Australia when I was visiting them a few years ago. Great for cracking open stubbies!

(That's Oz slang for opening a small bottle of beer.)

My car, garage, house and mailbox keys are in a brown leather key case I keep in my handbag. Usually I carry a ring with another house key and one for the animal shelter. It's a stainless steel ring surrounding another, thinner ring with the figure of a cat inside. That's actually a shopping-cart chip; all shopping carts here are like the ones at Aldi, where you need a coin or a chip to use them.

My main key ring has a really old decorative thing on it.  I think it is about twenty years old.  It has a carousel horse on a background that looks like red glass.  It was an impulse buy at the Kmart close to where I live that has been closed for years and is now the supermarket that I usually go to.  It was one of the things at the checkout stand.  Kmart's checkouts were so slow I bet they sold more of those kinds of things than most stores.
