Did you get the dewormer at the Vet, or OTC?  If at the Vet, you should have gotten instructions for follow-up.  If not, call them.

IF OTC< what do the instructions say?

(sorry, I've never used a de-wormer, but figure they MUST have instructions with them, don't them?)

Then I would call the Shelter and ask them when it should be given next.  WHY was it given?  Did he have a specific type of worm, or did they just do it as a precaution, or what?  Did they advise you to follow up with your Vet for an overall health exam?

Yes and i got an overall exam done and a fecal test but everything came out normal and the vet didn't mention anything about deworming.

but i'll ask the vet at next appointment.

Good idea. Our shelter usually worms cats twice with Milbemax as a precaution before adopting them out. The adoption contracts state whether they've been wormed once (young kittens) or twice (older kittens and adults), plus what vaccinations they've received and when.
