I am beside myself with what to do. We have two indoor cats Rocky is a 15 year old neutered male and Calypso is 4 year old spayed female. They have always gotten along wonderfully until yesterday when a neighbour cat came to the front door and they started fighting each other. It was absolutely terrifying I couldn't even speak to tell them it was ok. Calypso ran and hid for the day until I came out of the washroom and she was growling at me. She backed off I to a bedroom and I closed the door with food water and litter for her. My husband let her out when he gpt home and she stayed in the beas

I didn't get to finish the rest but I guess it's a long story. I will try out your recommendations, thank you! She is still hissing and growling at me so I think I will only let my husband go visit with her for now. We have a 7 month old baby so I'm very concerned about letting her out when he's awake. Yesterday she growled at him also but I think it may have been because I was there. I love her so much, she has always been such a sweet girl and it breaks my heart that being around her causes so much discomfort. I hope so badly that she will go back to her old self. Thinking positive thoughts!

Happy to say all is well with our kitties. We kept them separated for almost a week giving them alternate runs of the house. Then gave them treats on either side of a baby gate and they were both meowing like crazy and licking each other through the gate then took it away. Now it's like nothing ever happened :-) phew
