My cat is pregnant

He probably smells her hormones. You'll need to keep him away from the nest and kittens for a few weeks. I asked if she used the crate because the mom doesn't go into the nest until she is ready to give birth for fear of soiling or attracting predators.

She only went in the crate twice since I set it up for her with blankets but now she went in and is laying in there I have the cage door open my enclosed porch if right off my kitchen there isn't any way anything in gonna get in at her ........

so looking ahead:

Will she and the kittens be warm enough and are there any drafts? the kittens can not regulate their body heat for the first 3 weeks.  You can always move mom and kittens to a better spot later if need be.

what kind of a crate is it?  Check the openings and make sure the kittens  cannot get their heads stuck in the openings.  You may want to cover part of the crate so the kittens are not in direct sunlight.

There are no drafts ........baby's are coming I stayed in the room with her all nite and they should be here soon the contractions are really bad and she is meowing loud

So far there is 4 and she is doing such a good job ......she won't let me leave if I try walking out of the room she crys .........been with her the hole nite and since she starting having them she woke me up right befor she started cause I feel Sleep out here with her .......as soon as I can get a good puc after they are all born I'll post it ........and befor I forget thank u all for ur help and advice on this ......thanks

The is 4 so far feels like there is more in there she is doing really well with them

When did she birth the last one? So glad she's doing well.

About 930 she had the 4th one .........she has been meowing and like I said she let me touch he belly and it feels like there is more in there

I'm in pa and yes I felt movement

She may have more - pauses are common. Though they often appear/feel lumpy following birthing from the swollen uterus on both sides.

I know right now she is restless again

Now you both have experience so it will be easier.
