While you have this 'break' and are enduring the 'waiting game'.  Can I send you on an errand?

Can you go to a pet store or walmart and get some Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) and a small needleless syringe 1-2 ml.  A small scale that measures in grams or decimals of ounces for weighing kittens.  You can actually feed a little KMR to the mom cat.  It is high in vitamins and she will pass those on to her kittens.  And you will also use it when the kittens begin weaning.  It is a good idea to buy it now in case youu need to supplement the newborns.

Thats a very good suggestion, but sadly, nnbody in the house can drive, as me and my twin brother are only 15 years old. But my Nana will be getting here soon and I can pass this onto her. Thanks.

The cat still hasn't gone into labor, yet she still seems to be comfortable. Can anyone tell me a general time frame which is safe/normal for a cat to start delivering after her water has broken. For Athena it's been more than 8 hours. Is this cause for concern?

If she seems fine and not in distress I wouldn't worry.  Assuming she had miscarried, it could be a few days before she has the rest of the kittens.  Kittens born too early don't make it, but kittens who are in the womb longer are fine.

Did you read the article How Do I know When my Cat Will Give Birth?  the link is in post #7  You will be calmer if you know what to look for and it also tells you when to get to the vet.

Yeah I read it, and I am judging my cad emotions, I just dont want to leave anything to chance and pobablity. But honestly, that boat has already sailed. I'll be attentively relaxed officially.

Attentively relaxed is a good plan.

Did your Grandma get there yet?  She should be a calming influence.

Yeah more like "disconnected, unconcerned influence". But calming nonetheless I guess. Thanks for your help guys, and I'll keep you guys updated.

Wow, I'm glad you all are still concerned about my situation. Well, my Nana did not believe the mentioned things to buy were necessary, and this morning I called the vet. And the vet, similar to my sister, said nature would take its course and that it's okay for a cat to not go into labor up to 48 hours after the water is broken. Athena hasn't gone into labor yet, so that about 27 hours and counting since the time I believe her water broke. The cat has been unstressed, and so that's how I'll be. I do plan on getting a scale for the kittens-to-come however.
