Fluid around the heart

My mister is at the vet this morning. He says mister has fluid around his heart. Mister is nine years old and he is my very best buddy.  

I've placed by baby in the lords hands and praying that god gives him to me for a while longer.  But if my heavenly father thinks best to take I will forever be great full for the time I had with. But if you read this post please pray for my baby. Thank you  misters mommy

Hi @misters mommy....I will definitely say a few prayers for your Mister, and send some strong vibes your way to also have strength in this hard time.  It's good that your Mister is at the vet, because someone once told me that even when you believe in God, it's the doctors, vets, healthcare professionals that have the earthly knowledge to look after all us creatures, and help us out. 

I think you are looking at things in a positive way...for being thankful for the time you had with your cat, and that is so hard to do sometimes, especially when our animals are sick.  I do hope that Mister gets better and is with you for a while longer, too.  The vet may be able to drain the fluid, and put him on medications to keep him stable. Sending prayers, vibes and well wishes your way. Stay strong, mister, and misters mommy. 

@misters mommy   How is Mister doing today?  Still keeping you both in my thoughts, as I know that others here, who have read your post also do. 

Thank you so much for your support and praying.  Mister is back at the vet to get iv fluids.  The vet has him on antibiotics and Lecix.  Were keeping him quite and praying a lot.  Thank you again misters mommy

That sounds good, @misters mommy.  It sounds like the vet is trying to stabilize Mister, and find the proper balance between the Lasix, fluids, and antibiotics.  I'm not too familiar with all the diuretic drugs, and those used for heart conditions, but it does sound like your vet is doing the best they can.  I really do hope that Mister is able to respond to the meds, and as best as he can, too.

Thank you so much for your kindness.   MY mister pasted away this morning. His little heart couldn't take it any longer.  I was with his when he took his last breath. My husband and I buried him in the back yard.  God has blessed me with his peace for which I'm so very great full.
