After I showed her the little ones were gone and washed everything and everywhere, she has calmed down a bit.
She let them play in the kitten food plate. But the litter training is wow, they eat it (non clumping)
Lay in it, sit in it, and fall asleep in it. :)

Ahhh the kittens are starting to scratch a bit.
I've not seen any fleas, but I don't want to take any chances.
Can I do dawn baths?
Or use something on mom that is safe?

You can give the kittens each a bath in blue Dawn, and you can put a tube of Advantage on Kit Kat.

You can also apply a q-tip's worth of Advantage on each kitten's neck after their bath. They can handle this small amount at their age. At 8 weeks they can have their own tube of the kitten Advantage.

A good vacuuming and washing of linens to kill flea eggs and larva helps too.

You may want to order on Amazon. Advantage is around $50 for a 4-pack at Walmart here in Florida, which is cheaper than the pet stores.

Thank you.
I'll wait until my husband is back from out of town tomorrow lol
The kittens are climbing the walls and I'll need a hand. :)

Yes, you will need help for this entire undertaking - from the baths to the carpets!

Good luck :).

You sure he's coming back tomorrow?   Have you let on what he's coming back to help out with? Those wall-climbing kits might need more than 2 pairs of hands.

It wasn't so bad lol
I'm covered in scratches, but we saw no fleas at all.
I'm glad I did it though as two kittens about two weeks were dropped off last night.
They bottle feed extremely well. They seem to be healthy apart from a bit of stuffy noses.
A dog rescue who couldn't keep them brought them here.
I also started eye treatment as they seem infected.
Good news is they both weigh 7.5- 8 ozs.
They are a good size, they took the bottle like champs.
I am working on getting a vet to see them due to the stuffy noses. If it's even needed.
Mom was hit by a car :(

Oh, their poor mama!

These two kittens sound ideal :).

I do think they need to see the vet for their stuffy noses. It's probably a URI, and better to treat it early than have it get worse.

So baths weren't too bad, huh? Now you know everyone is clean and flea free. Always a good feeling!

Post pictures of your fosters when you can :).

I called around to a few different vets today. Mine is kind of pricey. One that specializes in cats told me steamed bathrooms a few times a day, and keep the kittens away from everyone else.
I'm not backed by anyone, so they said give it until Monday and if they seem the same they will work with me on price.

I tried cleaning them up a bit, they are very dirty. I just used cotton balls and warm water. :( they need a real bath with soap unfortunately.

Here they are.

Hmm. They probably need amoxicillin. They should be able to see the kittens for one office fee and the price of the meds. Generally when kittens this young have a stuffy nose it's an infection.

Definitely keep them away from the others. They need to get bigger for baths. Just keep rubbing them down as you've done.

How much do they weigh? They look tiny!

A little scruffy, but still cute!  Hope they don't have fleas.
I checked pretty good last night, I didn't see any.
They are very cute, scruffy for sure.
I'm going to warm up the bathroom later and wash them a bit better and check them again.
They need some love ♡

That's a perfect weight for two weeks. Were they living outside with a stray mama cat?

I'll call a few more places and see if I can find something less than the $200 I was quoted.
I am also reaching out to some rescues in my area.
They eat about 3.5 MLS at a time. Right around 2.5 hours. They eat quite well. No real fussing.
Purring the whole time even through the burping and potty.
They smell me open the blanket and start looking for food. :)

Yes, someone found her on the street and knew she had had babies.
They found them on a car engine.

Goodness! They are very lucky!

$200!!!

My vet is $40 for an office visit. Meds are extra. What in the world are they asking $200 for?

At almost 8 ounces x 8 mL per ounce they need 64 mL each 24 hours, so they need to eat 8 mL apiece at each feeding every 3 hours. So you need to up their intake. Bottle or syringe?

Ahh ok, I am bottle feeding, they suck really good. That's why I'm feeding more often. Omg. I'm not sure where I learned math from.
They have eaten more often than 2.5 hours and now I know why.

As for the $200, I'm not sure what's going on with that. And I've had two vets turn me away because they are so young.
