Things happen for a reason, but it all turned out for the best

May they all continue to thrive
This often seems to be the way, but perhaps for those who look to make the postives in life happen most of all.   I too hope all continue to thrive:  thos white chunky butts must be guzzling all the cream!

Yes, they sure do!
I find I have to break up little fights between the two of them.
I have done nothing but worry from the moment I noticed she was pregnant, until now.
After everything that has happened I can see the good.
But now I can see they have gained, and they are even getting fuzzy.
I am so happy I found this site.

The silver lining that showed up on that cloud is really platinum.
I'm so glad that everything is working out so well.

The are so sweet and cute and KitKat is a great mom.

We're glad you found this site too!

So grateful to have stumbled across someone experiencing the same thing. I think the world could stand to take a lesson on love and acceptance from KitKat and Polka, and the seemingly large number of mama cats who take orphans as their own.

I feel the same way. It's nice to find comfort in not feeling alone.
As I said before if I could foster children, I would. I would love the world to see the pure joy and love they give and get from each other. It is very heartwarming. ♡

I want to foster kids. However, I cant right now. With my daughters illness, I wouldn't be able to juggle the intense therapy, patience and time foster children need and deserve. My parents were foster parents so I grew up watching the difference they made in people's lives. It's great.

We recently fell on hard times, we can't afford anything extra right now.
I just found our our house is not a regestered rental either. The city could come force us out anytime. We have been paying rent and bills. But the landlord thought he was getting away with something.
Long story short, I am right back to pacing the floor and worrying until I feel sick.
On a good note all the babies gained no less than 10 grams today. :)

I'm so sorry to hear about the house. How did you find out? Where I come from in NY, illegal apartments are everywhere and I don't recall anyone getting in trouble for it. We had one landlord who told us that if anyone came by to disconnect the stove and cover it with a blanket. Who knows if he was right about that or not. The guy was really shady. He ended up moving away rather suddenly one day (we had already moved out) and ended up leaving a dog and cat behind. The cat was an outdoor kitty who was never allowed in and the dog was kept in a dog run in the backyard (also never allowed inside). His wife's spoiled little Pomeranian or whatever it was of course went with them
Fortunately, a neighbor took both in shortly after so he actually did them a favor. They ended up much better off

Anyway, wouldn't someone have to tell on you before the city would do something? If you're paying your rent, the landlord isn't going to tell. If you're paying your bills, the utility companies won't tell. If the neighbors don't have issue with you, they won't tell and WE certainly won't.

The landlord is the one who owns the house so it's his responsibility to decide who lives there. Do you have a lease? Receipts? I wouldn't worry too much about it. You're not doing anything wrong. The eviction process is usually a long one and I don't think they would go that route unless the landlord starts it. Why would he if he's collecting rent?

YAY kittens!!!

I hate it when tenants suffer for a landlord's deceit. Maybe you can appeal to the city if it comes down to it. It's always something, isn't it? Hopefully everything will work out.

That is a really tough situation and I genuinely feel for you there.    Big vibes that the landlord gets everything straightened out and you don't have to move.  I spent a number of years living in London UK at a time when private landlords were buying and selling property like it was sweeties and all the time not knowing when I'd next need to move.  At one stage I'd moved 6 times one year and I was so stressed I was getting physical illnesses as a result and my GP was warning me to do something to change the situation or live with the consequences (or worse).  I didn't have kids or animals other than goldfish to worry about and it was bad enough.   I really hope you get your living situation resolved.  Feeling insecure in your home is one of the worst things.

Cats are wonders at absorbing our stress and negative feelings when we touch them, here is hoping that caring for your mama cat and kittens at least offers some relief when you experience the positive touch of their fur, and can laugh and smile a little when you see them, and remind you of the warmth you have in your heart when you see those kittens growing and putting on weight as they are .   It can't make anything go away but it can offer a little relief sometimes,

He will not answer any of our calls, or texts.
It was his elderly mothers home.
After the last few months it's falling apart.
I found out they also have not paid taxes in years.
The water dept actually found out it was being rented out. They know the family. He's a retired police officer. SMH.
Only thing we can do is hope for time to save money to move.
We have lived in the same home since getting married until last year. 12 years.
I'm sorry, just needed to vent.
Positive vibes back out there. Things have a way of working out. ♡♡
