Forgive me on my being late, unfortunately, I was lighting a few fireworks with my husband and a set of firecrackers went off on my hand as soon as I let them! lol, leave it to me, with "illegal" fireworks finally being legal in Georgia, and I wound myself! ...it hurt a lot, and is going to take a while to heal, but did not stop me from enjoying feeding my sweet baby 15 minutes after it happened!

He is 173g (6.1oz) now! He is drinking down 5 to 7cc without a sweat. I swear he is just the sweetest thing. His eyes are opened so wide. I love him so much.

Thanks @kstonya, I definitely think he is doing well enough to go ahead and cute back to once a day, unless I just get a little to curious throughout the day!

He is just precious! I am so glad that he is eating well for you! You can keep weighing him twice a day if you want since he's so new. I would feel better if we followed his weight gain closely for a few more days, but he is doing great! Such a sweet little baby. I'm sorry you hurt your hand.

@sarthur2  I have no problem continuing to weigh him. I get so anxious about seeing what he's gained, that I imagine I'll be keeping it up every 12 hours for quite some time (to be honest, just for the heck of it, I usually do a mid-day weigh too, even though I know it can fluctuate, lol), and  even when I 100% don't have to anymore, I probably still will just for my own curiosity!

I know! He loves it up there. I keep them filled with warm water on that side of the nest. As soon as I put him back in, he waddles to climb up onto them! :)

Is it made of water bottles? That's a clever idea since he needs to stay warm. And is he in a crib?

Yes, water bottles. :D and I have the heating pad on low on that side as well, with two layers of bedding over it, and one underneath it. He is actually in a cloth-type clothes hamper my mom bought me to use for him instead of the box I was using in the beginning.

Thanks guys! I am definitely spoiling him, while making sure to remember to spend a great deal of time with my other babies as well and have been giving them a little extra treats that I usually do! LOL

Gravity weighed in at 179g/6.3oz tonight! :) ...giving him a +7g gain the first 12 hours of his 24 for the day! :)

Hey guys, I have a question...I have been adding olive oil to his formula to offset any chance of constipation, but now I think he has a mild form. He strained a little harder than usual to poop the past two times today, and it was somewhat clumpy/cheese-like each time. I took the other side of the wipe and squished it to see how hard it was, and it was not really that hard, but just wanted to know if this was okay or not and if there is anything else I should try doing. Should I dilute the formula more? He's been having good poops...usually 3 a day, and this was his third for today as well...the last two were just clumpy. Thanks!

Edit: I ended up adding 3 small drops from a dropper of olive oil to his bottle of 7cc and he drank 6.8cc. I did not dilute the formula just yet. I had been adding a couple of drops of olive oil to the container that I make and store in the fridge each day, but I guess it hasn't been sufficient enough. The way he strained that last time, I hope he never has to do that again. It broke my heart. Like I said, he has been having poops 3x a day, usually every 3-4 feedings, so there hasn't been an absence of poop... but these last two were just clumpy and he had to struggle with them.

It's best to do as you did by adding the drops of olive oil directly to each bottle. Then you know he is getting oil with each feeding. You don't want him straining unnecessarily. But he sounds like he's doing well. :)

Great! Thank you! He had a formed and easy BM this morning thanks to me doing that. I feel so much more at ease. Without a doubt, my little cutie does too!

He gained a total of 9g (0.32oz) the past 24 hours and is now weighing 181g (6.4oz) at  his estimation of 13 days old.

It is the sweetest thing. When I wipe him with a warm damp cloth to mimic his mother licking to clean him, he has started helping! While I'm doing it, he will try to lick his chest area and then licks his legs. He'll also lick his paws and rub his face with them the best that he can!

This little kitty is such a character, I love that he is copying and starting to groom himself.

LoL, make the most of the cuddles and sleepy times:  all being well little Grav is going to start adventuring soon!
Going by the cheeky and determined look on his face I expect him to be an intrepid explorer.
