Or you can mix them together. Whatever you do, keep pushing the fluids. I don't think you can give him too much right now.

The clicking noise is worrisome. Kittens do that when they have pneumonia, but you haven't supplemented him until now. If the clicking continues can you get him to a vet? He may need an antibiotic. Feeling bad may have kept him from nursing well, which in turn may have caused the dehydration.

Is he willingly taking pedialyte and formula?

He only does the clicking/kind of gritty noise whenever I hold him or am rubbing his back. I had to put him down to go mix up some formula (Powdered PetAg so pretty good stuff) and when I came back he wasn't making any more of the clicking sound. Is that good or bad?
He has been taking the pedialyte and im about to give him his formula also mixed with some pedialyte. I have been using a syringe to feed him, at any point should I try a kitten bottle?

Okay first of all, try to relax. Stressing out won't change anything, so keep that in mind.

Pneumonia is not an option if you have not supplemented this kitten yet, so no worries there.

How has the weight gain been for this one?

Honestly, no. I would not bother wasting your time on trying the bottle, it's not going to happen. When there is mom there, no way on earth will a kitten accept a conversion of how he eats.

He will fuss and carry on and you can't control a bottle as you can a syringe.

Maybe that's currently his purr?  You said his meow was raspy.

Ahhh, purring! What a relief! :)

Let us know how he does with the formula and also his weight.

How has the weight gain been for this one?
He was gaining weight great. He was one of my littler ones but he had been gaining a good .3-.4 ounces a day. I weighed him yesterday morning and he went from 5.0 to 5.2 which worried me but he was still nursing and latching onto mom so I just thought maybe he didn't have a good weight gain for the day. He was always my one who would purr (a raspy low purr) whenever he was latched to mom. It was early this morning whenever I was cleaning everyone I noticed his pee so bright yellow. Everyone else has been gaining the optimal .4 ounces and my Littles have all hit 5.0 ounces or higher (including little gray) and all my fattys hit 6.0 ounces or higher.

I also should include could it be an infection? His umbellical cord is still attached but I kept reading it can take a while to fall of if it was longer.

His cord should have come off by now as they are 1 week old, however that said, it is NOT infected.

So we will let that go for now.

Is the yellow pee the only symptom, or is there a change in behavior, nursing/lack of, etc?

He does need to begin supplementing too, since he is lagging a bit on gaining.

It does not look infected to me. He did gain rather than lose, which is good, but he sounds like he needs more food than he is getting. I'd continue to supplement with formula. How's his pee looking?

He had been nursing until early this morning and when I tried to get him to latch onto the nipple he would try and suck for maybe a second then just give up. He comes and goes with him being loud and his whining but he is defiantly not as active and moving around as he usually his.

His pee is still bright yellow. I keep giving him his pedialyte and some of his formula.

I don't get paid until tomorrow, which is just such bad luck, but as soon as I can grab my check, I really want to get him into a vet. Is that okay with him being so young ?

He is defiantly trying. He will get quiet and then I'll rub his little back and neck and the hell start crying out loud as can be and thrashing. Then calm down.
Is giving pedialyte to him warm okay or do I need to do it room temp?

The truth is, 9 out of 10 vets have no experience with these young babies, except for being able to give sub-q fluids if there is any dehydration, but you can syringe pediolyte and fix the same as sub-q's will at this point.

It doesn't sound as he is very dehydrated to the point that you can't help him without sub-q's, so I would syringe 2 mls every 2 hours, or even 1+ ml every hour for now, then we can see how he's doing.

For added weight gains, which he can use, mix kmr with the pediolyte instead of water and syringe this, but then feed 3 mls every 2 hours.

You can pull him through this minor setback.

Always warmed formula/pediolyte or he will get a gassy tummy and really be unhappy.

BTW-whining is a good thing!
Helps the lungs expand and stay cleared, shows he is a fighter.

For some reason it seems his issue may be simply not getting enough from mom.

If we notice all (except the biggies) have a slowed down weight gain, we should assume that mom can't keep up with her herd and will begin supplementing everyone to help her out.

I have edited what I said about the amt to supplement.

Assuming weight is 5 oz, he needs at least 8 mls per oz, so 5x8=40 mls per day.

Since he does nurse, supplementing him with 3 mls of formula/pediolyte mix every 2 hours is ideal, which means he will also nurse some from momma.

Alright! Well he won't start sucking on a nipple right now, I think he's still just too weak, but I got a good amount of pedialyte and some formula in him at the moment. I feed him pedialyte every 30 minutes and then formula every 30 minutes at the moment because I'm sure he is starving. He is still roaring up a storm.
WHEN he makes it through this (I know never get my hopes up and such, but I want to be completley positive for this little one) I'm going to name him Simba because I love hearing that roar which makes me know he is still hanging in there. I am keeping him with mama and the others on the heat pad because I don't want him to get cold. He does not wander of on his own nor does mama ignore him/shun him away. Is that good? Thank u guys so much. I'm going to try my best to get Simba through this

You'll get him through, and Simba is a great name!

I'd follow catwoman's advice to mix the formula powder into the pedialyte instead of water for now. That way he gets both. This will be a sleepless night for you.

He may not be latching on because he is full.  Is his tummy round?  I think you caught this early and that makes such a difference in turning it around.
