it's amazing how much a difference new counters and back splash can make. Those thin staggered tiles seem to be all the rage this year, are they glass?

Thank you -- yes, they are glass and so shiny. He kept polishing it and polishing it and it looks almost like a mirror now.
your granite countertop and backsplash choices look very good together. i went back and found your thread that has the 'before' photo, so i could see the before and after photos one right after the other.
i like the glass backsplashes too. may i ask -- did you use those squares of glass backsplash with the mesh on their backs? those seem to be less time consuming to install, and very lovely too.
