MY CAT ATE HALF OF A Q-TIP WHAT DO I DO?

My niece had left a Q-tip on the floor and my cat had been playing with it. My niece -thinking it was the norm- went along with it. When I went to go check on my cat, there was only half the Q-tip and she seemed to be chewing or gagging. Just as I reached her she swallowed it.
I AM VERY CONCERNED.
Do I go to the vet right away or wait to see what happens?

Sorry no one responded.  Since it's been almost a full day, I'm guessing either you took hr to the VEt, or at least phoned your vet?  How did everything turn out?  I'm thinking they told yo to wait and see if it passed, unless she showed signs of distress? 

Hoping it passed,or is in the passageway to pass with no issues

Cats!  Gotta love 'em.  Always get into trouble going into the weekend
