Oh my goodness, that is both hilarious and terribly sad! We will find homes for all of the kittens; we have one full time cat and that is enough for our household (She is actually our last foster Mommy, we fell in love with her!) I have also fallen in love with Millie but she is SUCH a bully to our current cat Pumpkin; it's been 7 weeks and they still don't get along; unless she changes after having the kittens, she will be found a good home, too. We never have trouble finding homes for the kittens for our fosters; we keep them until 10 weeks usually (we stagger their leaving between 9-10 weeks, a few days apart, so mama doesn't get upset losing them all at once; and we just keep them until we find loving homes. We offer them for $25 including vet checkup, worming, and first vaccines so 1) we only get people who are serious about them and 2) it's a good price so people are eager to take them home and save themselves that first vet visit!

Hello! Have been on this site twice before with pregnant fosters. Once a year we seem to find someone wanting to dump their pregnant cat on anyone else and take them in. Our latest foster, Millie, came to us just over 4 weeks ago. They told us she was 3 years old and 2.5-3 weeks pregnant. She's a beautiful tuxedo who bred with a black long haired make, we are told. I took her to the vet for a checkup this week, all is well, vet says at least 2, if not 3 weeks to go and he thinks he felt 4 kittens. She's gotten noticeably bigger the last 2-3 days, starting to feel little "pings" of babies inside. There is some white crusting on her nipples. She has started to seek out somewhere to have babies the last 2 days, rummaging in our closet, burying herself under clothes. She is such a sweet, loving cat. Will be hard to let her go to her forever home! Sorry for rambling, we are excited to go through this process again and have read the standard links to refresh our knowledge :) attached a few pics.

Pic of the day. Just got home from work. Millie hopped up next to me for her belly rubs. Kittens are VERY low. Having a crappy day so hoping for some happiness in the form of fuzzballs tonight. By dates given to us, she's 9.5-10 weeks today. It's so hard not to worry

It is hard not to worry, but she is basically in anytime now mode, and everything should be fine!

Hang in there! She looks good! :)

Took Millie to the vet this afternoon as I have this paranoid feeling that she's overdue. Their ultrasound Doppler was broke. So he did an xray. She has 3 babies; good sized, he says she has no milk yet but our previous two fosters had no milk until after the birth. Temp was 99.5. When we got home her back end was soaked and she was panting and breathing very fast. Likely just a stress reaction and she urinated? How do I know if it was her water breaking? The liquid on the seat of the van has a very mild urine smell to it, so I think she was just scared? Now I'm even more paranoid that her water has broken but I can't be certain! Lol. Attaching the xray photos. So cool! She's now under the bed, it does feel like her belly is very tight but I don't see any rhythmic contractions; but the one side was so tight you could literally feel every part of the two kittens on that side! Anyways. Here's hoping for tonight!!!

Just relax and be patient. She will have those babies soon on Mother Nature's timetable :).

Acting totally normal:/ Sleeping on the dresser. Sigh. I'm at my parents house an hour away for the day; maybe we will go home to kittens! I really want to be there with her though.

We are home now. Nothing new. Purring away under the bed. Babies kicking. I swear, this cat is never going to pop.

Maybe she likes being pregnant.
Don't say that, I doubt @3rd-time-foster  wants her to run out as soon as this little kitten crew do arrive and become pregnant again....
That belly packed full of kittens must be fairly uncomfortable by now anyway, poor mama cat.

I am sure they will all decide to arrive fairly soon.  Thankfully being overdue for cats does not seem to come with any of the worries that it does for humans, it is being premature that is always the big concern.

Hope your suspence is over soon and that the births all go smoothly.

Just laying around today, nothing to report. It's been 8 weeks since I first spoke with the people who have her to us. Will be 8 weeks Tuesday since we got her at supposedly 2.5-3 weeks. They must have been off with dates. Definitely feeling kittens move for 3.5 weeks though. It has to be any day now. Any HOUR, even. :) I thought I saw some ore contractions along with twitching funny tail earlier, but she's just been lazing around as normal all afternoon.

Hey friend,  all these new things they can do today. XRays of your cat etc. When I had my Burmese in dire straits there was no XRay .Now you keep a steardy steady head and God willing Milly will play her part.anneno2

Maybe Millie is going for  'The longest pregnancy in Cat History?' She reckons that this is the only way she can get human affection?
