Tonight I heard this awful noise that sounded like a dying cat. I turned the corner and saw my stray male cat who's fixed yowling at a garbage can. At first I saw nothing but hearing a weird noise. Then I shine a light and see a tiny, tan kitten puffed up. My cat is a 25 pound Maine coon mix so I quickly shooed him away. The kitten took off across the street and looked healthy but young, eyes were still bluish mix. I saw an adult tan cat next house over but figured it can't be mom most tan are male. 5 minutes later I see the kitten back at my house on top of a garbage can and my cat under waiting to pounce. I shooed him away and the kitten ran off again but is just wandering around.

Is this a potential pet, I was 10 feet away and no hissing or growling from it. Could it think my cat was "mom", could mom have died? Kitten was exactly like one in this video.

I think its a rhetorical question.  Accept the gift from above, obey your fate.    :)

Just be sure your resident knows you love him, and he is number one in your eyes, so he wont get  jealous on the new household member,  or nothing such...

Sounds to me like the kitten was  dumped by its human caregiver.  Have you tried to pick it up or pet it? If it's not afraid of you, then it isn't a feral kitten. I would advise that you take it in, poor thing is probably very hungry and scared. If you keep the kitten inside, then your outdoor cat won't be so jealous since his territory is outside. Even if this is a feral kitten, it's very easy to tame them at this young age--it will bond to you within a few days I bet.

Yes, this, and what Stefan said.  Looks like you've got yourself a new friend.
