So mama was noticeably pregnant a month ago.. we are not sure of exact dates or anything like that.. but she keeps panting on and off and then eating and now she's just stretched out.. and won't move.. I've done some research and I know the only thing to do is wait.. but does this mean kittens?

Panting is almost definite sign she will be expecting kittens very soon. Either tonight or tomorrow you will have a litter. Good luck to you and the mama!

Did she had dropped?  Ie seems a little smaller than two-three days ago?   If yes, its near.

If not, these you describe may be precontractions.  Esp if not much discharges, or mucus flowing out, or teats full of milk..

Precontrations is a way of Mother Nature to exercise and train the muscles.

Im sending some links. Perhaps too many at once, but here you are.

Many of these links have been readied by our forumist  Red Top Rescue:

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

Goats milk is useful instead of kmr. Raw goat milk is best, but bottled full fat is OK too.

Observe, if an orphan is much bloated, gas-filled, bloated, have colic, simethicone (google on it) may help.  1-2 drop in the bottle.

Fleece or flannel good to use in the bedding for kittens.
