Social media sites poll

It's been a while since the last time I asked, and I'm curious as to where cat lovers hang out (when they're not here on TCS  ).

Check the ones you use the most, and post your comments too, if you want to share something as to why and how you use these.

I'm on Facebook and Facebook Messenger most of the free time I have. Everyone is there. I leave the Wifi on the phone on and get the instant notifications to browse or reply. While I do have accounts in other sites, I don't use them 

I only use TCS during the morning's / day. In the evenings I Facebook. 

I'm very into social media.  I use nearly all of them.  One not mentioned which I would include is Flickr - the photo sharing site.

I also utilize Ello, but haven't in a while.  Linked In is only for work.  I try to stay off as much as possible LOL

Would love to connect with others on some of them if so inclined. Send me a PM

BTW interesting that nobody uses Google+ 

I find it worthless myself

i technically have a Google plus account; but I never use it.  I've not even really looked at it to be honest.

I am on a couple of forums beside this one, but since DH and I were cyber-stalked and cyber-bullied for more than nine years, we stay away from social media.

We have a couple of historical information websites that we work with and maintain, but will not connect them to any of the social media sites.

I also 'technically' have a Google+ account, but I never mess with that either--not since Google got rid of the iGoogle accounts.

We also have a Skype account each, but except for one person we contact through that, we stay away from that as well.  Most of the incoming messages are spam that we have to block.

I do also but never bother. The only followers I get there are unknown men from who knows where. I assume, spam accounts.

I don' think anyone uses Google+ 

I have an account on all of those but LinkedIn. I use FB all the time. I use Pinterest mostly for recipes. I always forget to post on Instagram, but enjoy others posts. I never look at Google+. :lol3:

I said facebook because I use it to chat with my sister, who can't get yahoo to load on her computer.  Otherwise, I don't bother with it or any of the others.

Facebook, mostly to chat with a couple of friends and post comments on cat videos.

I use Facebook daily to see what my friends and family are up to, instagram to post pictures of my kids mostly and pinterest to look for recipes.

Ditto lol. Honestly, I find it so confusing. Anytime I've logged on I never know what I'm looking at? All these random pictures and videos from people I don't remember following?

Fascinating. I had no idea so many people were using Instagram. I wonder how it would work for TCS to have an account on Instagram, definitely something to look into.

Right now TCS has three social media avenue. Well, four if you count our Youtube channel.

Google+ is a big PITB. Period. I cancelled my account because I got tired of being hassled on my cell phone every time I turned around. Text after text after text from them. Tons of email from them. And it was directly from Google+, not anybody using Google+. 

I use LinkedIn only for work. That's it.

I do peruse Pinterest, but it seems that they have a ton of ads (esalon, for example......6-7 pins on one page) or as they like to call them "Promotion Pins". Annoying. 

Facebook to keep in contact with family and friends. That's pretty much it.

I really don't use YouTube that often. 

IIRC, I've got accounts with all the social media you've listed, but only use Facebook. "Frequently" would mean a couple of times a week, not every day.

i don't use social media. however, i do use youtube almost every day. i didn't know TCS has a youtube channel...*off to subscribe to it*

Anne, I was just thinking about this the other day in fact.

Personally, imho, I think it's a great idea.  It would get new members to the site for sure.  I bet you'd have a huge following in no time.

Oh and how did I not realize you have a Twitter?  /running to follow!

What about  a pinterest page? There are many DIY cat things on pinterest, cat toys, trees, beds, etc. I think it would be very nice if TCS had a pinterest page.
