Hello everybody, always appreciate the great advice for my cat pumpkin.

He has been great, at least until the last couple days.

In short, he has been throwing up everything after eating. I feed him twice a day of huge same product, and have been for the past month.

Everything in terms of food, environment, litter is same, as I see it so far..

One thing that did change, is that a couple days ago, he actually chased a fly that came into our house and leapt up and ate it!

I figured that it was a small insect and it wouldn't be an issue.

However, starting from yesterday morning, he is starting to throw up everything he ate within ten minutes. Last morning he threw up 1/4th then apparently threw up the other 3/4ths. I think he was okay with what he ate last night,

But this morning he threw up all of his breakfast. A little later we gave him a little more since he was so hungry, then he threw it all up again.

We also found some leftover throwup inside the sofa that we didn't find until today.

At this point I can't discredit this as one of his every once in a while throwup-

He has been getting annual checkups and he was fine, although the last checkup was a few months ago.

Do you think that fly might have done something to his digestive system? What would be a good medicine to give him? Or should this be a straight to the vet issue?

Thanks for your replies in advance!!

Sam

What do you mean by huge same product? I do think with all the vomiting, he should probably been seen by a Vet because he can get dehydrated quickly. They can also give him some anti nausea meds. I do not really think it was the fly. I am wondering, what exact food was he eating and has he been using the litterpan?

To be honest I have no idea... I think the spell checker came up with something haha.

Pumpkin has been using the litter pan. I have been cleaning it regularly.

He eats iams adult formula. I know the general cat owner hates these foods, but for my cat, he has been the best with this product- I have tried grain free, healthy formulas and it hasn't been very good for him (runny stools etc).

Location
somewhere
I think you should take him to the vet
Did he like to eat things that he is not supposed too, like streamers or something, because my cat did and he got an obstruction, with an obstruction, the earlier you go to the very, the better.
