I just joined, and posted about a weight problem with one of my foster kittens in the appropriate area.
My name is Kat (well, it's Katherine, but I go by Kat), and I live in the Midwest with my partner and our pets.
We have three cats that are permanent residents--Caedwyn, a white DSH male who is 16-17 years old, and the sisters Sara and Shoshonna, who are flame-point Siamese mixes, about 4 years old each.
Our current fosters are Redbud, a very shy red tabby/white DSH male; Patterson, a super outgoing and friendly blue tabby/white DSH older kitten; the twins Carlos and Cecilia, active and naughty 6 months old DSH red tabby/whites, and the two babies, Harry (DSH black/white) and Henrietta (brown tabby/white DSH).
We also have three dogs, a Harlequin Great Dane named Mimsy (5 years old), a Cockapoo named Spenser (12 years old), and a retired show toy poodle named Mhina (11). And we have two rats named Charlotte and Emily, and two tanks of fish!
I am a former RVT and recent university graduate currently looking for PhD programs in Human/Animal Studies. So far MSU tops our list.
We volunteer with a local rescue group, fostering kittens and occasionally dogs (I did more dogs before I met my partner). So our house is a busy place that tends to be a bit hairy, but it's definitely full of love!
