How hot is it where you live??

Well here in Alabama, US it's not only hot it's humid. The lows at night have been in the 70's and the highs are near 100 with heat index about 5 degrees higher. They humidity is what's so rough... 62% and it's only 7 AM .

I wouldn't be able to make it there! :lol3:

It's actually been on the cooler side here. High in the low 80/s today with not much humidity.

Although it's been really hot here, it was the humidity that was killing us. It was just nasty. It finally broke last night and today is to be rather pleasant with temps in the low to mid 80s and lower humidity. I can take heat; I can't stand being sticky and sweaty when it's that humid. We had nights in the low 70s and it made for sleepless nights.

It's summer here in central Florida and it will be until November. Currently it's only 80 (farenheit) so it's pretty nice out. We are expecting the normal day/ week here. Mid 90's and humid. Par for the course. We'll get the usual thunderstorms here and there.

My AC went out last Thursday. I was at work of course and DD told me that the house wasn't cooling off. I usually keep the AC on 24/7 10 months out of the year because as you can see it can get very hot in the house and it's too much for the furkids. I asked her to open windows and put box fans in them and turn on all the ceiling fans to at least get the air circulating. She did and then abandoned ship to go to her BF's house.

I got home and it was 93 in my house.
The animals were miserable. I put a window AC unit in and set up a spot for the babies in the room with it. The girls parked themselves in front of it and were laying on their backs with bellies in the air. Henry refused to come out of his room and I wasn't about to stress him even more by forcing him to. I closed his door and the combo of box fan, ceiling fan and plenty of cold water in his fountain kept the room cooler than the rest of the house since it's a small room. I called the repairman and he told me he'd be by Friday in the morning. he ended up showing up at 230 PM.
it was a quick fix, thankfully and it was working again by 3. Fortunately, even though it was HOT in the house, it wasn't humid. That's the killer. I kept the girls by the portable AC and Henry as cool as possible. None of us (except the dog, of course) had much appetite Thursday night.

When did her majesty come back, you ask? After it was fixed and the house had cooled back down. What a team player.

The moral of the story? No one lives in Florida for our summers.

the heat and humidity back a couple days ago and beyond are gone now here, and today's high is forecast to be 74 degrees F. i'm not thinking we'll reach 74 today, as it's only 70 degrees F here now and this is within the peak temperature time frame here each day. to me, it's quite chilly. but then, i don't do well with cool, cold, or colder at all. humidity is at 53% here currently.

It's very humid and warm today in Vancouver, Canada! It's cloudy so all that hot air is stuck on the land.

I know most people think Canada is all snow and cold but Vancouver is not at all like that. We probably only get one or two days of snow a year and it melts in the afternoon.

I'm visiting the Napa Valley for a few days and it's hot. 98-99 degrees the past two days.

Here in Naples, Fl it's been in the 90's every day. It was an early summer this year! It's hot and humid, but I'll take this over living up north any day. Our winters more than make up for the hot summers.

It's 91° here! In Montana.. we were going to go swimming at a resort for my mom's birthday.. but we're going to wait until my birthday in September where it will be much cooler! I go swimming at an indoor pool at the YMCA but it still cools me off! I'm glad we have popsicles and ice cream.

It ended up cooling off this weekend. We went camping & kayaking and had a great time. It's still cool this morning but I'm sure the heat is just around the corner.

I couldn't agree more. I'd take our summers over one second of a northern winter. Been there, done that, NEVER again.

It's been in the 70's and spells of gray rainy weather for the past 3 days.  The extended forecast is for 70's the rest of this week.  If this continues it will  be the third mild summer we have had in a row.  I personally cope better with cold weather than heat and humidity so I don't mind.  We still have sunny afternoons and I have all the windows open which is nice.
