Hi all just wanted to introduce myself I'm new on here but through my cats pregnancy some of the threads on here has really helped me so I though I join.
My beautiful cat princess is due around 5th July. I saw the kitten's moving in her belly for the first time last night I'm very excited for them to arrive. She is only a small build and it's her first litter so I don't think she will have many she seems to be a tad bigger on one side bless her.

Ok so my princess is either 69 days or 53 days pregnant.
She's had a healthy pregnancy so far no sickness or anything she has gained 500g
This morning I have come down to find her in the birthing box I have made her she's asleep buy there's a few spots of bright red blood on the bedding, is this normal? This is her first litter and mine. Xx

Sounds like she is experiencing some pre-labor discharge. Some spotting is okay. How is she doing now? Has real labor started yet?

It may have been her mucus plug, or just some routine discharge. Just keep an eye on her.

She is a very pretty cat!

I notice you said she is due around July 5th, so if you feel pretty certain you know when she mated, she may have a few days left. It can be nerve-wracking, but exciting. Cats do pick up on your stress, so try to be calm around her for her sake. Most cats deliver a healthy litter without a hitch! :)

Ouch, with prematures its always a fight uphill...

How is it going, what help and advices do you need?

Is mom taking care of the little one?

if not, what kmr do you use?  If you can get RAW goat milk, is excellent.  Also the probiotic BeneBac is useful on kittens whom didnt got moms milk...

Weigh her every 12 hours so you have a feel of the development...

Oh, this was a sadly outcome of this pregnancy.  All too early, and all gone...     RIP little ones.

Luck is the mom is safe and sound.  Its always the most important in such cases.

If you still wants take care for kittens anyway, you can perhaps let Princess be a foster mom?    Im not sure her milk has come - it was a whole week early no?, but if  small alive kittens needs her, her maternity instincss will probably kick in.

If  you wont do this at this moment, please do spay her asap you can arrange it.       Later on, you can perhaps do some fostering yourself?  With Priness help or just yourself.

If you so wish, and  raising small kittens is important for you.

Warm hugs!

Oh, sweetie, I am so sorry for you and princess both. Yes, must have been a good week too early. Good your princess is okay. I know you wanted these kittens, but as Stefan said, she might make a great foster mom if her milk comes in fully, which it likely will. The rescues are overrun with orphan kittens right now, and would love to give your princess some fosters. She will treat them as her own. It's a thought if you feel up to it. Might make everyone feel better.

Hey thanks princess seems pretty lost keeps looking around and crying bless her which then make me feel awful and I cry. Me and my son have just buried little button even though it was only 11 hours it's was a lovely 11 hours a proper little cutie.iv rang the cats protection but they say they don't do the whole foster thing so ill have to keep looking and then get her spayed once she's dried up. Thanks for your kindness x

Yes, do continue to call around, and even ask if they know who does have kittens in need of fostering. There's surely an agency close by. Your kitty would be so happy! Where are you located?
