Dear Halo,

2 years is a short time on this earth to make an impression on someone's life. You did just that. From the day you came into my life at just 4 weeks old, to Sunday morning where you looked into my eyes for the last time, you always made me smile. You may not have been the most affectionate cat, but you loved us and your personality was one in a hundred million. You can never be replaced. You were my first true pet and I'm sorry I couldn't do more for you. It breaks my heart that your last couple of days on this earth consisted of me holding you down to give you the medicine I thought would make you better. I think you always knew you weren't going to be in our lives for long and that is why you provided us with so many memories and a personality that will never be replaced. Even in your final days you stepped away from your normal anti-social behavior to cuddle and love us. I will miss all the quirky things that made you "The Halo." I will miss your nightly meowing and bring of stuffed mice. I will miss your love of the auto-tuned kittens. Your constant begging for popcorn. Your morning petting sessions, which were the only time you seeked out "the hand." And most of all, your kitty kisses that told me daily that just because you weren't as affectionate as your sister, that you loved us just the same. 2 years was too short, but I'm glad I had them, I know no other cat can ever compare. I love you "poopy butt" you're free from all of your suffering now.

What a beautiful tribute to Halo.  She is wrapped right around your heart so I hope you are able to feel her warmth there and take a little comfort from these lasting memories.

I'm so sorry. It seems especially hard to take when you have known them from kitten hood.

RIP, Halo. [emoji]128546[/emoji]

My heart goes out to you, it hurts so very bad to lose someone we love so much, especially after only two years. Hold on to your memories, they are as precious as gold now and will bring you comfort in the years ahead. The house will feel so empty for a while, their loss is something that takes a long time for our hearts to process. Thank you for Halo's tribute, it helps to release some of the pain from our souls to people who understand completely what you are feeling. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers, the heavens gained another beautiful angel....... RIP sweet Halo, you will forever be alive in a loving heart!
