2 weeks ago a pregnant kitty wandered into our garden and nestled up in the wendy-house. Now the kittens have been born today. one was dead and the other 6 are still OK. Is there anything to do to help?

What you do depends on the exact situation - is she shy semiferale?   Perhaps even defensive aggressive?

Or is she friendly and accepts your help?

It depends also, on how much YOU are willing to help, and how much you can help.

The ideal is you take them all in, and foster and care for them all inside...

Anyways, be sure the mom has good food and water, and they do have shelter - if necessary some heating source...

@StefanZ

we cannot take them in, they are going to a foster home on saturday, because she scares our dog.

She is friendly, although protective, and we believe she is more lost than feral, however no home found.

I was wondering whether it is possible to hold them before Saturday.

Lovely you are taking them to be fostered on Saturday. This is a good outcome. It is best not to handle the newborns unless absolutely necessary, as it may cause mama kitty to move them where you cannot find them. Please give mama lots of kitten chow, wet food, and water in the meantime. Will mama be going to foster with the babies I hope?

If she is friendly, dumped family girl, and you want to take her in, be sure she and her kittens have their own room.  This is the only way to be sure she feels relaxed, and not  attacking the dog.

If its not possible, I suppose you can held them in this  children play house... Especielly  as they will be collected to a foster home on saturday...

I hope there are no predators or evil neigbours nearby?
