Hey!

We have had to cats that we rescued as kittens 8 years ago and they have been healthy all this time. But 3 years ago a stray female came to us and as of last winter, we made her partly an indoor cat, she doesnt use the litterbox but prefers the outdoors which is great! (Less poop in the boxes) :)

HOWEVER now one of the females who has been overweight has since lost about 3 lbs and doesn't groom herself like she used to. What's even more alarming is that she has been using our bathroom as her go to place... poops, and vomits, and now is peeing. These are white marble foors so its easy to spot. Her poop is usually small drops of brown liquid.

The crazy thing is she gets along with the new addition to our cat family so idk what could be the issue. We took her to the vet and had to stay overnight to try and get a urine sample (which we got, but no stool) the Dr did a battery of tests and the only thing he could find is a mild case of pancreatitis.

Since then we have started feeding her blue buffalo wet food and have also bought her a probiotic to mix in with her food... what is the problem? We just want her to be back to a healthy weight and start grooming herself and using her box again... I've looked for answers and still nothing. PLEASE HELP!! :(

I really think this is a medical issue rather than a behavioral issue.  Since all her blood work came back good except for possible pancreatitis I think she has some form of IBD.  I would ask your vet to try a round of prednisolone to see if the issues improve.  If they do improve then she probably does have IBD.  The alternative would be an ultrasound.  An ultrasound can be a very good diagnostic tool if the person reading it is skilled, they can be expensive too.

I know you have tried diet change and probiotics but sometimes more is needed, as in a steroid, to get things under control.  Once inflammation is under control you may be able to taper off the steroid and use just diet changes and probiotics to keep things controlled.
