Hello I'm new to the forum but have been reading advice given to others from this site but panicking so thought I'd get some advice.

So our cat Tuesday just gone she started leaking clear mucus and I could see the kittens kicking frantically by Wednesday morning she was back to her normal self.Thursday evening she then had brown mucus coming from her vagina and this morning she is back to normal but I can't see the kittens moving.
She won't let you touch her tummy and she can go from purring to attacking for no apparent reason. Is everything ok and when should I expect kittens.

She is 11months old :( I did have her booked in to be spayed but other half let her out the morning of her appointment !!! And now we're expecting. She will be spayed once the kittens are weaned.

Actually the kittens may have dropped and be closer to delivery position which is why you don't see them moving anymore.  We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

I am trying to ascertain if this discharge is indicative of a problem, or if it resembles the normal discharge that is experienced by cats just before they go into active labor.

She is probably going into labor very soon. How is she acting now? And have you noticed if her vulva is dilating, that is, opening up?

She won't look at her vulva but she is rushing between the different nesting boxes and has started to cry

Okay, she's going into labor. Try to calm her and comfort her if she'll let you. As with humans, this could go quickly or it could take hours.

Ok. If you see legs instead of a head then it's breech and you may have to help her. However, it's not uncommon for there to be an hour or more between kittens.
