Again, you’ve done the right thing with Robin, @Samanthasays.  As well as the great advice you’ve received here,  I’m sure the vet will have some tips when you pick her up again. Pleased to hear the vet is watching her for awhile.

Re Ted favouring one paw, I had a couple of episodes similar to that with my kittens.  It could have been how they landed in play, but I suspected at the time it was from them getting their claws hooked in things. At that age they have trouble retracting their claws properly and on a few occasions I had to ‘unhook’ them from something as they were struggling to free themselves (e.g., hanging by one hooked claw from the lounge!). That has got to put pressure on their little paws.  All part of learning the ways of the world for these curious babies – but please get the vet to check it if it doesn’t settle in, I’d say, 2 days – or when you go to collect Robin if that's sooner.

Isn't it wonderful to see the quick transformation for Ted into a fearless and totally trusting kitty!  He's gorgeous.

You’re doing a great job!  Loving your photos which are bringing back recent happy memories with my litter.  Please keep them coming!

Good news this morning, Ted is walking just fine :) he walked right over to me when I went in.

No news from the vet yet on little Robin. But no news is probably good news.

This is the big boy, marshal. He and Lily are litter mates and they are the biggest and strongest. They love that crinkled paper in the basket :) he had some diarrhea lately, but he is still playful and strong, so I am not too worried. I gave him some anti diarrheal and he has been eating and drinking just fine. His sister has perfect poops, I am so proud of her ;)

Great news on Ted.  All thoughts for Robin and hoping you have good news from the vet.

Marshal is quite a heart stealer!   He looks lovely, and his coat very thick and soft.

Great to hear Ted is walking normally again. Marshall is certainly a beautiful, healthy-looking kitten. Such a gorgeous coat.  Now he's off wet food the diarrhea might stop.

Looking forward to pics of Lily and Barney, and, of course, some good news on Robin.

I just heard from the vet on Robin, she has to stay at least through tomorrow. They ordered Metronidazole for her that should be ready tomorrow for her to start on. I am so worried about her, but I keep telling myself she is where she needs to be.

It sounds as though Robin is getting the treatment she needs though. Perhaps they would allow you a quick visit to see her?

She is holding on here and this is good.   The other three sound like they are doing great too so remind your self what an important job you are doing and how the vets practice is helping.  This is one lucky little kitten family.

Be careful w/the Metronidazole.  It can cause neurological (sp?) damage in kittens if the dose is too high.

Thank you! The vet will do the first few days of administering since she will probably be with them 3-4 days. But when I get her home and administer at home I will be sure to do the dosage exactly as they say.

Lily is so hard to get pictures of because she is so active, but she is such a looker! I love her sweet face. She really has the prettiest markings :)

I see what you mean about Lily, @Samanthasays.  She is adorable!  Thanks for posting the pic!

I'm pleased the vet is keeping Robin longer and being responsible for her meds. That will also keep her away from her much stronger and rougher kitty mates who might be just a bit much for her while she is weak.

I hadn't heard of Metronidazole but looked it up. An antibiotic for a range of infections, including non-specific diarrhea. Here's hoping it solves the problem and has her home and healthy again before too long.

Looking forward to more updates.
