Howdy everyone I'm new here and I'm in search of some help.

I have 4 3 week old kittens and they have "needled" the momma cat so bad to where shes got little puncture marks and everytime two of them eat they always go to the same spot and do it. My momma cat won't stand for the pain so after about 5 minutes of us trying to help and readjust the two doing it she gives up and goes outside for a break. I looked into getting those soft kitten cap things but I think they are to young. What should I do? Should I trim the front nails?

Any help would be great

Yes, trim their nails, and stop letting mama cat outside for a few more weeks. They still need to nurse. Between 4 and 5 weeks old you can introduce them to soft wet food, and set them up with a kitten-sized litter pan. You can also wet kitten chow with water or kitten replacement milk (KMR), which is full of good vitamins and minerals the kittens need for development. Available at pet stores and Walmart. They will eventually lap this from a dish, but mama needs to nurse the kittens for a few more weeks. She needs especially to nurse them until they have fully transitioned to eating on their own, and at 3 weeks old, they are a bit young for that yet. Just very gently clip their nail tips. Do not clip too far back into the nail bed. Let us know how it goes. :)

Thank you SOOO much! You have no idea how worried I have been. The momma cat is actually really super amazing and goes outside to just use the bathroom and law in the grass for no more then 30 minutes then is right back at the door meowing to come back in. She really is an amazing cat. I will do just what you said. I have had kittens before but this has never happened, I was scared and was confused about why it was happening. I will keep you updated and thanks again for your fast response.
