Hello Guys! I am new here.

I have a two year old cat and yesterday he started throwing up. He is known to throw up whenever he eats really fast or if he eats his brother's food (he is on a special diet). Recently Ive noticed he would not eat his own food and would just want to eat his brother's. That never happens as he is not picky and eats whatever he can get into his mouth. When I got home yesterday from work, my parents told me he has thrown up (i brushed it off cause its normal with him). But later on in the night, I heard him throwing up and it was a clear liquid.I then when to pick him up and realized he was drenched in his own drool. His eyes were really pale and barely open. I immediately took him to an emergency clinic, and they told me we would have to run tests to narrow it down on to what it is. The nurse told me he stopped drooling and is looking better, I told her I would take him to my original vet but to give him something for the night. He was given vitamins, something to keep him hydrated and something to stop him from throwing up. When I got him he was still pretty quiet/lethargic and I notice he would occasionally drool. I woke up today and have noticed he is breathing rapidly and loud. My sister is taking him to our own vet to see what it could be. Two months ago he had pink eye in one eye, and then a couple of days later it transferred to his other eye. The vet only gave me an antibiotic cream for his eye and it cleared up in two weeks. Not sure if this can be related to what he is. I have another cat who is fine and doesn't appear to have any symptoms, he didn't get pink eye at all when the other cat had it and they always sleep/lick together. I just need help wondering what it could be .

Thanks

I don't think this is related to the conjunctivitis he had. Sounds like he's eaten something he shouldn't have. I hope you get an answer from your vet and he's feeling better soon.

The vet has done 4 X-rays and nothing has come up. I will have to wait a day or so for blood work. The doctor is saying it might be acute gastritis but nothing is sure yet. So far Ive spent 800$ within a day and nothing is for sure :(

Oh, goodness! Does he go outside? If he ate a lizard that could have made him sick. I've had cats eat a lizard and start foaming at the mouth and then throw up. The symptoms also sound similar to epilepsy in humans. I hope your vet can find an answer soon!
